Personally, I think that graphical representation is fairly accurate. I live, and was brought up in the UK, and where they have the various parties slotted there, looks about right to me, which is a good indicator that the rest of the representation would be correct. Currently, the Conservative Party in the UK, is actually moving further to the right in many respects. About the only thing stopping it moving quicker, is the Covid pandemic. In Europe generally, the view held here of the Democrats as being left wing is a matter of some amusement. In relation to the political leanings of parties in Europe, at best they would be considered 'center left', and no doubt many would still characterize them as being 'center right'. There would be no doubt in the average European mind, that the Republicans are currently a 'right wing' party, and a fair way over, as well.

The NFL has protocols for all sorts of things. If you don't follow them, there are, have been, and always will be, consequences. Players need to get the message, the NFLs covid protocol behaviours, need to be viewed in a similar light to their drug testing. Do the right thing, or get punished. Ideally, you want all the games to be played. It's the easiest way to be fair to everybody. Thing is, this season, that simply isn't going to happen. It already has had a couple of disruptions, with the Steelers game being postponed, and the Chiefs game moved to Monday night. The Steelers having to take an early bye week, is probably already unfair on them. Where do you get to the point when you can't fit all the games in? On the current schedule, it looks to be about now. either this week or last, Peter King made the point that however this season goes, someone, somewhere will end up getting the rough end of the stick. This season will not be normal, and there will be times when a team gets treated unfairly, and if we want a season at all, we are just going to have to grin and bear it - whoever it might be. About the only chance the Bills/Titans game has of being played, is for it to be Monday or Tuesday, with the subsequent Bills/Chiefs game moved back to the weekend. I'm not so sure the NFL wants to move the Bills/Chiefs, and for good reason - if there were fans at games, currently it would be the hottest ticket in town., and any neutral fans, are probably salivating at the potential matchup between Mahomes and Allen. It's a Thursday Night game that could generate huge numbers, and you can be sure the networks and NFL are aware of it, as will the Owners and GMs of teams. I can see the Titans being made to forfeit the game, from several different standpoints. Safety, Disciplinary, Practical, and also Commercial. How that is then handled, is anybodies guess, but I can see it being (now) the most likely outcome.

I've thought that we had our 'franchise' for some time now, probably from a fair way through last year, and especially after the Dallas game. There were too many throws, runs, and just plain will to win, to ignore. Having said that, it was mostly my heart speaking then. Head was saying, there's still much more progression to make. The jump in progression this year, now has my head believing my heart. The real beauty of all of this, is that he can still improve!

Better CB depth is no bad thing. It'll be interesting to see where he goes when he gets on the field. Levi had a decent game last week, so I expect him to start, regardless. Norman might take snaps away from Taron though, or they might rotate him in some.
-
There's nothing to stop them renegotiating though, or being asked if they can approach their membership about doing it. If they have only just come out with it (the NFLPA) then you are likely correct, it's a non-starter. But if that was their original position from when they made the first agreement with the NFL, then they might be prepared to talk about it now. I don't know all the ins and outs of whatever agreement they already have in place, but I'd guess that they won't get their full money in the event of a cancellation, where it's been the players at fault, rather than federal/state issues/rulings, but I honestly don't know. It might also be the case that the players themselves, now that the proverbial is starting to hit the fan, are more willing to consider some sort of 'bubble' situation, particularly as their game checks are starting to come in.

No idea. The reality is that your starting QB is very likely to have had interaction with more guys than anyone else. I've also read somehting recently, that said that Cam has been all over the Patsies facility, getting to know people, and they were gushing about his leadership qualities, including Belicheck

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/10/03/three-more-positive-covid-19-tests-in-titans-organization/ Another player and 2 more from within the organization. Definitely a cause for concern for the Bills game to go ahead. At a guess, much will depend on how soon the players who have already tested positive, can come back with negative tests, assuming no more players test positive.
-
Certainly does, as there are plenty of different position guys with it. A couple of WRs, LB, DL, CB and Long Snapper, and a couple of PS guys (TE and CB). One position coach and half a dozen other team personnel. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/10/02/adam-humphries-cameron-batson-placed-on-titans-covid-19-list/ Cases on the Titans need to stop cropping up asap, if the Bills game isn't going to be put in doubt also.

There's definitely 'an issue' with the Bills game on that following Sunday. Without knowing the minutiae of the NFL protocols, the reality is that any positive tests occurring with just over a week to go to a game, is something to be concerned about. Hopefully the new positives are within a group that should have been self isolating, since the whole thing with the Titans started. If there's any 'spillover', then the Titans, and consequently the NFL, have a lot more problems to resolve, especially as regards scheduling. About the only things they can realistically do, is reschedule for the Monay or Tuesday, assuming no further infections, and then push the Chiefs game back to Sunday. Alternatively try and find another space for the game to be played later in the year, and cancel it from the original date. From the financial standpoint, the latter option would be their best bet, as they almost certainly do not want to have no Thursday Night game, as that would cost them. Although if the Thursday Night game is their own exclusive game hen as someone has just said as I was posting, that may make that a more viable option.

I like Knox's potential, there's a good player there, but he has to get the fundamentals right, i.e. no fumbles and drops. Kroft, as far as I can make out, did what he was asked to do, and did it well. Knox has tried to do what he was asked to do, but hasn't done it so well. I'm sure he will get more opportunities, but for the moment, I'd be way more comfortable with the reliability that Kroft showed last Sunday. I would also say that it wouldn't hurt Knox to sit, bearing in mind the concussion. I believe he still has a long career ahead of him.
-
Good to see Knox is back. Kroft should be the 'incumbent' though, as he took the opportunity given to him - competition. Pleased that Moss is back, as he does give us dditional firepower at RB, unless they bench Yeldon again - who to be fair, did a solid job when asked last Sunday. People seem to be getting after Edmunds a fair bit, and it isn't necessarily undeserved, but he was crocked against the Jest, didn't play against the Fins, and probably played against the Rams banged up. I can't believe all the poor RB defence is at his feet.

Point 9 Hap, would be an absolute bugbear of mine. It's simply deflection. People need to take responsibility for their own actions.

I'm not too sure if this has been given much emphasis before, but if I was the Vikings, I'd want my game delayed also, just so they can get proper preparation for it, as they have been an 'innocent' party in all of this, and still having to play against someone Sunday, imho, unfairly penalizes them through less preparation. Maybe put their game on Monday, and the Titans game Tuesday. The trouble with all of this, is that teams who haven't done anything wrong, are going to be collateral damage as they try and progress the season. The NFL may have to 'make an example' somehere soon, otherwise they could well be making a rod for their own back in respect of trying to re-schedule games every darn week. I'd say that the NFL also needs to explain to teams, how they are going to approach this type of situation, so teams can put in place some sort of plans on how to deal with late changes to their schedule.

I know what you mean, but the selfish part comes as much from putting teammates and other players livelihoods at risk, by being stupid. It can be both. Fwiw, all they had to do was 'mask up', and they could have been rightly lauded for attending the charity 'do'.

Best advice I could give is to go with one of the known brands. Spares will be much more readily available, and the build quality is generally much better. I wouldn't necessarily buy new either. Like just about any form of motorized transport, depreciation hits hard for the first couple of years. Something a couple of years old from a respectable dealer, should be more than ample for what appears to be limited needs/mileage. I also strongly advise wearing a helmet. Tarmac is a lot harder than you, and even a small impact on your head, is dangerous. A good pair of proper motorcycle gloves I would also recommend, as your hand is likely to be the first thing that hits the deck if you drop it. I would also avoid any form of the stand up scooters (not the Vespa types or moped equivalents), as imho, they are an accident waiting to happen. I ride a motorcycle daily as my only form of transport, but those scooters I think are dangerous as all hell. No seat = avoid imho.

The NFL needs to bring the hammer down on any early covid 'misdemeanors'. It seems it's the only way players get the message (generally). It's one thing to get it by happenstance, as it were, it's another entirely to not be following rules and procedures. I wouldn't be surprised if other situations arose, similarly, but the bottom line in this is that guys are acting totally selfishly, and not only potentially putting lives at risk, but also putting livelihoods at risk, both on their team, and other teams.

I realise that, and the second point. What don't know is what words are categorized as bad language, for which you could potentially get 'pointed' and the parameters for 'newbs'. Not being quite a 'newb', I don't really care about that, but it was an observation that perhaps a 'time served' as an alternative to quantity of posts might be an option. I probably didn't make myself as clear as I would like.
-
If there's going to be a language 'filter', it would be nice to be able to find out in advance, what is, or isn't acceptable. i.e. a list somewhere. There have been, over the years, a few occasions when you get a poster who tries to start a topic repetetively. Imho, the best way to deal with that, is to ban them from posting for a week. I'm not sure how that would fit into a 'points' system. Newbs shouldn't be allowed to start new topics immediately. Some combination of replies, or time as a member, should come into play. If you can have points expire, yet still be 'visible', I think that will help decisions about actually giving points and possibly bans. Some sort of automated response will also help, if someone is getting points. e.g. 'You have got an infraction for x points because you posted something that was Political/Abusive etc. Points given, should probably be non-debateable. Bans probably should be appealable, but only if they are longer than a couple of weeks, or a month onward. I would also say that bans need only really be for posting, anything, anywhere. This is, after all, a community, and I think denying fans the ability to read the forums, is perhaps an unnecessary step. Hopefully, some of the suggestions will, eventually, make the life of your average Mod, easier. I will say that generally, they do a terrific job already, and my thanks goes out to them, and SDS for providing us with this platform.

TBH, I'm not sure that Tyrod should have been playing with cracked ribs, regardless. The end result could have been the same, but worse, if it happened after he took a big hit. I get that guys play through pain regularly, and probably progressively so as the season goes on, but the potential for much worse happening from a cracked rib, seems to me to be not worth it.

I’m already willing to admit it, I was wrong on Diggs

The Vikes might want to give it back.....;) -
Don’t forget Micah Hyde. Big tackle to stop a td and a great pass breakup, not forgetting the final. Catch from the onside kick. Poyer also deserves mention. Just about all the WRs. They all made some terrific catches.

Week 2 Bills @ Dolphins Postgame Thread
Buddo replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3rd quarter was garbage, but the guys pulled together and Allen + receivers were awesome in the 4th -
Game Pass has lost the game. Technical difficulties.
