  1. One generic one for around the league, and one for if we are playing them in the next month. The biggest difficulty, is as and when there are 'outbreaks', it will have an effect on schedules, and it may be that the Bills are affected by that, while still not having cases. Not sure where that sort of thing should go.
  2. It was painful enough watching the game, I didn't need the additional grief of looking up box scores. They should definitely call it a drop, as although it was above his head, it was pretty standard NFL fare. I'm fairly certain Knox himself made an indication that it was 'on him'. While I'm not precisely correct, according to the 'box score', I am correct in believing that it's a toss up as to whether or not Knox catches the football. 1 catch, 1 drop. The major flaw with Knox, is his inability to catch the football with any consistency. I'm not even sure that that is arguable, tbh. Going from memory again, there was only 1 'drop' that I thought was especially difficult, and that was a throw to Davis, that had some serious heat on it, where it was put where only Davis could get it, but on the stretch. It sort of went through his hands, but I don't think he could get them closed quick enough, if the truth be told. Diggs had a couple I would ordinarily expect him to get, but they were low throws, again, possibly by intent, as it would prevent the DB from getting at the football easily.
  3. So that's why the coaches said you tackle him low...
  4. Frazier is a good coach, and a decent DC. This year he's hampered by changes in personnel, and injuries to key components. Sometimes, the clay you are using to mould with, simply isn't goo0d enough.
  5. He's had a few. Not as bad, or noticeable as Knox, but he also isn't what you would call 'sure-handed'. I would say that I currently prefer him to Knox, as I just don't trust Knox to catch the football. I'm not sure he dropped a pass last night, but I think he was one of the numerous 5 yard offensive penalties for a false start although I'm not 100% on that. All we actually have at the TE position atm, is 'potential' and very little in the way of 'production'. I believe they gave Knox opportunities last night, and they might have used him more, if he had held onto the football. He made at least one catch before the drop. Without looking too hard into it, iirc, he had two receptions, and two drops. Supposedly he also got dinged up, but I doubt he would have seen the football anyway after the second drop. Knox has a lot of potential, but none of it will be realised unless he holds onto the pigskin.
  6. Well, if they caught the ball, they might become more of a thing for the offense. While it may not have seemed like it yesterday, you don't actually gameplan for waiting for an accident to happen.
  7. Beasley is really just about it. Yeldon did ok, as did the kickers. Diggs had too many drops, but tbh, is measured by a far higher standard than the rest of the mere mortals. Davis did have at least one drop, but that was one that had a fair bit of heat on it. An observation about how McDermott handles young players. He seems to me to really come down hard on stuff that he expects them not to do. Epenesa got pulled immediately he made the false start. Singletary, I'm pretty sure, saw the naughty seat in this game for whiffing on a block that got Josh sacked.
  8. Knox does a lot right, apart from catch the football. He's rapidly turning into a Robert Royal before our eyes. Watching him catch the football, is like watching 'Who wants to be a Millionaire?', where the answer will be '50-50,' or 'phone a friend', because currently, he really doesn't want to 'ask the audience'.
  9. TBH Roberts had a game he would love to forget. Hardly anything went right for him. Having said that, he wasn’t necessarily making bad decisions, his execution was just not there. I am a lot more worried about the D going forward. We desperately need more from any CB not named White and someone who can step up for Milano. Backup CBs and LBers are becoming a major concern.
  10. Officiating generally is abysmal. It has been for years. Until the NFL change their approach, and make the Zebras full time, it’s not going to change. I reserve my right to complain about particular decisions, but largel y confine myself to the most outrageous ones. Zebras were bad again last night, but we were worse. Apart from our first TD drive, we made mistake after mistake, and tbh I’m being relatively kind about that, as it meant there was still a game, and hope.
  11. That was simply embarrassing. Roberts had a nightmare. Allen his worst game of the season. The D was hopeless without White and Milano. All of a sudden, our WRs can't hold on to the football. A whole bunch of stupid penalties, mostly when we really didn't need them. Best scenario, we've put all the garbage out in one go. We need better depth at CB and LBer, simple as. Hopefully Beane will come up with something, and soon.
  12. I think Singletary is on the naughty step for missing the block where Josh got sacked.
  13. Good stop by the D. Good punt though ;( More Josh time though.
  14. Oh, and Roberts gave some payback for the int.
  15. Now let's see how we go when the Titans have to make a proper drive.
  16. 3 significant guys out. This will be a serious test of how much of a contender we can be. This is the type of adversity that you need to show you can overcome. Tbh, Brown will be missed, but with the emergence of Davis, I'm still pretty confident in our offense. Missing 2 of our top 3 CBs, is not good though, especially with Milano out as well. This game might end up being another shootout, but I'll take Josh over Tannehill, if that is what it does become. Now that I've said that, it'll probably be dreary 9-6 or something similarly daft.
  17. Due to injuries, CB and LB are definite areas of concern. For those wanting to see what Phillips can do, he's just been put on IR, and Lacey has been signed. Tbh, I have a fair bit of faith in McD and Frazier's ability to coach up DBs, and pretty much all of the guys we have atm, have the right attitude to training and prep. If they bring another guy in (at CB) I would be happy enough that they have seen something in them, that they can work with. At LB, I think we need to find someone with some speed, who they can coach up. Both Milano and Edunds are pretty quick on their feet, and our system appears to require that, whhich is why Klein looks out of place when he's on the field. Dodson has a chance, but I think we could do with a guy with more experience as well. I don't know who that might be. Davis was mentioned earlier, but he's getting long in the tooth, and it would need a trade. The bonus being he would know the system. Trouble is, with Rivera in Washington, he's probably quite valuable to them, as someone who can help their guys get to know the system, which will undoubtedly become similar to what McD runs.
  18. I desperately want us to win this one, simply because the Titans collectively, have put a huge spanner in the works for the season. I really don't care how it happens, but would prefer a serious beat down. To the extent that we just keep piling points on them, although I doubt McDermott would do so, as it wouldn't be very classy. I actually suspect a tough game, as although physically the Titans haven't had the right sort of preparation, I do think they will be benefitting from extended film study. Hopefully, Daboll comes up with an unexpected gameplan. Currently, I think we can actually take almost any sort of appoach we want - we've already done that to an extent. Ultimately, it's 'Just Win Baby!'.
  19. See the numbers in italics. The only team to actually commit to the run, were the Rams, and look how they did. The Rams aside, all of the other teams passed, because they felt they had to, to try and stay in the game.
  20. I can believe the stat about us being #4 against the run. Trouble is, we haven't actually been that good. The reality is that much like the generally preferred approach to dealing with it in this thread at least, we have limited runs against us, by getting good leads, and forcing the opposition to throw. If ever there was a case about stats lying, we have it with that one. I doubt there's any Bills fan who would say that we are currently, a good D against the run.
  21. If we couldn't upgrade the backup elsewhere, then an emphatic yes. Not only is he as smart as they come, he and Allen have the same mentality when it comes to playing the position. I see that as a good 'fit'. However, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we don't find another guy who can come in and do a similar job. There are a few around who have been solid QBs over the years, who are now backups elsewhere, and I wouldn't be too shocked to see a few more 'changes of the guard' around. I believe the general theory about what you want/need your backup QB to do, when holding the fort, is to be .500. Fitz could definitely do that with our offense. Barkley or Fromm, I have my doubts about. It's an area of concern, and I expect them to address it in the off season tbh, unless Barkley or Fromm have to come in and do the necessary, to prove my concerns invalid. Barring other alternatives, there's no doubt in my mind that Fitz would be an upgrade at the backup QB position.
  22. Another possibility would be the Raiders. Mayock is a believer in Ryan, and Chucky can’t stop himself from collecting QBs. Having said that, Carr is currently playing pretty well for them. I see no Peterman sightings in the immediate future, barring injury
  23. Agree- it’s probably how they need to play against us as well, make Josh play hero ball
  24. I think it's as much because the Titans have already 'lost' their bye week, and the Patsies actually got their game played before. The scenario atm, is that if the Titans game can't go on, they are probably looking to have to play that game in a week 18. In this instance, I don't think it's due to any favoritism to the Patsies, it's simply a function of the NFL wanting to keep the regular season games confined within the 'normal' 17 week period.
  25. Certainly looks like the NFL is desperate to get the Titans/Bills game played. I assume that's largely because they have (currently) reworked schedule, that gets the games all played within the 17 weeks. It would seem that they are so desperate, that they are prepared to do away with, or change, their own agreed protocols to do so. I can only believe that the NFLPA is agreeing to this, so it should be no surprise when McCourty comes out and says he doen't think either the NFLPA, or the NFL, are talking to players themselves about all this. I think that if any Bills player, or staff member, tests positive, if the game is played, then there could be a major lawsuit coming.
