  1. Thanks for doing your write ups Shaw - they are always a worthwhile read.
  2. Allen and Diggs dismembered the Pats D. Whoever did the camera work when JC Jackson, decided to jaw at Diggs early, deserves a deal of credit. He's going to have a lot of time to try and live that down, with the way Diggs then took him to the cleaners. The score was 3-3, when the Bills had two 4th downs in fairly short order. !st one was the fake punt. The second one was Beasley just short of the sticks on the 3rd down. Bills hurried up, Zebras got in the way, Bills still pulled a Patsy defender Offside, but Allen also ran for about 20, and the penalty was declined. It was 3-3 at the time. That was a huge statement of intent, and they simply followed through on it the rest of the game. The Cheaters were even lucky on the TD run from Cam, as there was a blatant hold on Addison, that allowed Cam to get going. They had run the football well on that drive (the Cheats), but that was their game ended. Once again, the Bills had multiple TDs missed. Belicheck called a Time Out just before Davis was totally open into the Endzone. Knox and Jones dropping gimme's. The confidence of the Offense, was staggering to behold. There was pretty much always, a play that could be, and was, made - even if it was just sideways to McKenzie, with yards ahead of him to run into. Any time the Pats D wasn't perfect, they were made to pay. The Bills D, after the first quarter or so, were solid. It helped that the Pats best throw of the evening was the telephone. They could largely sell out against the run. While the Offense was scary good, this was another team performnce. STs were good, Roberts getting good field position often, and as per usual making good decisions. Bojo hits a terrific punt, which was impressive, as he recently only seems to on the field as a holder. Bass missed nothing, again. That was a great win, against anyone, but especially enjoyable against the Cheats, in their own house.
  3. JP didn’t use his actual name, which was a schoolboy error. Arm to succeed, smarts to fail. Gotta use that full Christian name.
  4. Got away with one there. Should be a necessary wake-up call. Nice job by Oliver though.
  5. I'd guess that calling up Webb, covers a lot of bases for McDermott, depending on how a variety of scenarios play out. Not least of which may be a reward for the work he's done on the PS, and in meeting rooms with the other QBs. If you are thinking about pulling Allen from a game, to keep him safe, then you don't want to have to put him back in, if the regular backup gets crocked. Webb, at that point, can come in. As per the above, it may be that you want to protect both of your QBs, so again, you could put Webb in for Allen directly. I'm not predicting that it's going to happen, merely that it's a set of options that McDermott has given himself. It's also possible that they have a play or two in mind for Webb to be on the field for - you never know what they are up to on offense these days.
  6. At the time, I don't think he was. He almost had to get a chance. Trouble was, he completely blew it, and showed he wasn't ever likely to be an NFL caliber QB. Just about everyone at the time, was incredibly down on Tyrod, and rightly so. Now that doesn't mean to say that many wanted to start Peterman, but there were enough who wanted to see if he could do anything - and that included McDermott. Tbh, I think it was very much a situation like Gailey had with Edwards - practised like a champion, played like a loser. 'When the bullets fly' and all that. Apart from the fact it was an unmitigated disaster starting Peterman over Tyrod, I never had a problem with it at that time. Thinking that Peterman was going to be a competent enough starter the next season, with Tyrod gone, and McCarron let go, was a whole different can of worms.
  7. It was probably the game where we made the most mistakes this season. Gunner does have a point though, teams with strong running games are not the easiest for us to match up with. Henry may not have been run as much the last game, simply because he didn't have to, with the short fields we kept giving them. With normal preparation, I still believe we would beat them now, but it wouldn't be an easy game.
  8. Maybe the Saints are expecting to see the Bills in the Super Bowl.....😏
  9. Like both themes, will stick to the dark side for a little while, and see how I get on with it. One thing that has been 'miraculously' fixed, is that I no longer get 'You are Banned' coming up when trying to access the forums from my phone, when I'm just using my isp, and not wifi. First impressions of most of the other things already referenced, are very positive, the forums feel mighty slick. Many thanks SDS, great job.
  10. Might be right, but it's simple logic. In-Season, he's working with the Bills coaches/players etc. Off-Season, it's with Palmer. One thing does seem clear, is that he recognises that others have just as important a part to play in his continuous development, as he himself does. Fwiw, whoever was talking about Allen himself not getting enough credit for his improvement, I think you will find that if you talk to the people he himself talks about, then they will likely be effusive in their praise for his work ethic and willingness to learn and put things into practise. I'm pretty certain there will be stuff around the tinternet that already has those types of plaudits.
  11. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/12/21/buffalo-bills-afc-east-nfl-week-15-fmia-peter-king/ Lead story, but also other snippets. Well worth a read.
  12. His line about Jerry was pretty good too - 'Possibly the only man who hates the refs more than I do' - and showed a clip of when Jerry had a go at a ref in the tunnel. I'd recommend watching it just for that tbh.
  13. Brees might be struggling, but I thought it was more hesitation than arm that caused it. Could also be both - arm and hesitation. He also doesn't have his regular WRs to chuck it to. I'm just a bit wary of writing him off on the strength, or lack of, of one throw. Peyton also won a SB with no arm at all, but a terrific D.
  14. Saints D looks pretty tough atm - and quick.
  15. The Bills can obviously control what happens at their own lots, i.e. no tailgating, but they can't control what happens elsewhere, and that is going to be the main concern. For all that I understand what happened last night, it doesn't send out the right message as far as fans ability to do all the right things, outside of the stadium. Tbh, and also to be fair, I was actually moderately impressed with the fact that the vast majority, appeared to be masked up - even though the 'social distancing' was negligable.
  16. I think he'd have a decent chance at Tight End - and we do need a good one.
  17. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2923192-bills-are-a-problem-and-josh-allen-has-made-nfl-mvp-a-3-man-race Some good stuff in there, and some nice little highlights. The final point is probably the difference maker, i.e. Allen, Mahomes and Rodgers, are at a level where defences can do just about everything right, yet still get beaten by them.
  18. Very well deserved. The guy always puts it all out there on the field. Like others, my first thought was 'just go down', but was so pleased to see him run it in, in some style it has to be said. Probably a good idea Singletary ran his in later, as Jerry would probably be giving the RBs a lot of stick in the week.
  19. I think we will see a variation on it in one of the playoff games. This time Josh will either throw it after the double fake, or run it in himself. It was one of the best plays in a game full of exceptional ones, and was negated by the ticky tack hold on Boettger. TBH, my first impressions were that it wasn't even a hold, but after seeing it again a couple of times, you do see some jersey movement. Unfortunately it happened right in front of a Zebra, who probably saw it because he didn't know where the football was.
  20. What about Kumerow though? He has caught 1 pass for the Bills - a TD!
  21. He should get a few weeks to recover. Good it isn't, but we will be in the playoffs as division champs after tonight.
  22. Jerry will be describing that run like the second coming of Barry Sanders.:) It was, though, absolutely priceless, and for a guy who gets so much grief from Zebras, very, very, sweet. The reaction of guys on the sideline, was awesome, as well. The O-Line looked like they enjoyed it as much as anyone.
  23. First catch for Kumerow - TD!
  24. Dubious first one imho - although I've not seen much of a replay. Chubb moves his hand before Dawkins moves, so probably clever. No problem with the Diggs one.
  25. Time for the Offense to get back to work properly.
