  1. On another note, it's ridiculous how many times the word ridiculous is misspelled.
  2. It never hurts a defense to leave defenders unblocked at the point of attack. Call it great defense or lousy offense or a combination of both. Just saying. If the D can play that way consistently, who knows, Chan might not have to fire his buddy Wanny.
  3. He played really poorly. His line was garbage most of the night. Anyone crying over Incognito still?
  4. What sort of decisions does he make when he has enough time to make a PB&J sandwich back there and eat it too?
  5. There's always the draft.
  6. No doubt. Fitz would be a "better" QB if the defense didn't suck so hard. He'd also be a "better" QB if he had a head coach and one that was totally committed to building a ground-and-pound running game and using it. Instead little attention is paid to the offense -- "Chan'll coach 'em up" is the catch-phrase. The FB and TE position are undervalued and the Bills try to finesse a running game out of spread formations with minimal deep threat through the air because Fitz is not and never was a QB that could lead victories on his arm alone.
  7. If they win 4 games in a row, it will be the first time Gailey has ever done so with the Buffalo Bills. Speaking of which, Gailey has never beaten Ryan.
  8. Doubling is deceptive though. Say you had a guy averaging 0.0001 carries a game. The guy with double the amount of carries wouldn't get very tired.
  9. LB is the RB of defense. Someone did an aggregate average of draft position across the NFL for each starter and each team and LB came out the lowest. In other words, it really shouldn't be that hard to find a guy that can run and tackle ball carriers. Anybody remember the 90s, when the Bills seemed to have an inexhaustible supply of solid LBs? The Bills LB situation is a mess. They seemed to go on a bigger is better kick when Nix took control, apparently thinking putting a bunch of big, slow guys on the field would make the run defense stout. That plan backfired and now Wannstedt is trying to use the residuals in a vanilla, run-sideline-to-sideline scheme. And, that looks real, real bad. Go figure.
  10. This really strikes to the heart of what has been a truly pathetic scouting department. Donahoe trusted his draft board and went all in for JP Losman, which turned out to be a far reaching failure that has had negative repercussions for years. When Modrak and his crew gave JP Losman the same basic grade as Roethlisberger and Rivers and compounded that by saying no one else in that same draft or even the next draft was anywhere close ... well, it was another one of the catastrophically lousy decisions that the Bills front office dumped on its suffering fan base. The Bills have the longest non-playoff streak in the NFL for a reason.
  11. I'd rather have Romeo Crennel.
  12. http://blogs.buffalonews.com/press-coverage/2012/11/chan-gailey-you-draft-rookie-qbs-to-play-them-now.html Interesting...
  13. Count me among those that got a chuckle out of it.
  14. Drafted well enough to fill the 3-4 that they only played for a couple months before going hybrid and scrapping the entire project in 2 years to field a historically bad defense. The revamped personnel department kicking ass and taking names, perhaps?
  15. He was a real low for our scouting department. And they've had many laughable doozies.
  16. Which is good enough if your end-game goal is lose often and lose respectably much of the time.
  17. How about keeping it all the same and giving them all another year? They can't really be that bad, there may be fewer injuries, the rest of the AFC could take several steps back, and it's hard to evaluate players without a full season of tape to review.
  18. Well, that would help solve the problem they have when they want to play the 1-6 defense.
  19. Was expecting something about low mileage trade-in values...
  20. Sounds like a bit of an upgrade.
  21. They ran a hybrid under Edwards, and a big reason why was the LBs they had either sucked, were washed up shells, or where defensive lineman playing out of position. Edit: But now we're back pulling jaurons and playing defensive backs at LB.
  22. Perhaps it was an example of promoting the weakest link?
  23. Everything is going exactly as planned.
