    I agree that the Jets WRs were really, really bad. Irvin said after the game that he'd go all Jimmy Johnson and cut Gates in the locker room. Yeah, it was ugly.

    Maybe. He also put way too much air under several throws and had several others that were well behind and underthrown. He was very inconsistent and lacked accuracy. I thought he might run more than he did, so he didn't really distinguish himself in that dimension last night.

    Well, he got progressively worse as the game went on. As more teams study tape on him, I wouldn't be surprised to see the wheels come off.

    The receivers on both sides were not playing well. Edelman looked like the only guy that could catch a football.

    Suppose they run off the bench and pile drive Tom Brady's knees after the kneel down? OK, it's far fetched, but if something like that happened -- not just Belichick -- but a whole lot of other people would point out that they should've already been in the locker room.

    But, that was why Belichick was getting worked up. He wanted the refs to enforce the rules correctly. He's absolutely dead nuts on to demand that they do so as the HC of his team.
