  1. I was thinking "Tim The Tool, Man" but that's OK.
  2. Those weren't fumbles. Kelly was practicing his drop kick so he could be cool like Doug Flutie. He's growing out the mullet as well...
  3. And I was going to get a pizza for dinner, too.
  4. After all, not getting the surgery worked out so swell for Terry Glenn last year.
  5. The NFL just gave Ralph the right to pillage the Toronto market, which gives him exclusive access to one of the largest markets in the NFL. If the wizened one can't translate that into a couple of measly signing bonuses, what can he do?
  6. Yeah, happy. Ecstatic that other teams had hired coaches at the same time and were tasting success, while Donahoe and the Bills would blow it all up and start from scratch yet again. What a thrilling moment. (BTW, you do know that Williams had turned down several earlier offers to extend his contract and told Donahoe that he wanted to "play it out". Ever consider that the divorce was by mutual consent?)
  7. But, he did wear a headset.
  8. 11 straight years with the Oilers/Titans team translates into "constantly on the move."
  9. Draft him. If he can't play QB, we can convert him to DB.
  10. Here's another take: What if Evans' agent doesn't roll over and wants to hold the Bills feet to the fire? The Bills offense was horrible last year and Evans did not have a great season. If I'm Evans agent, I'm telling him, "Let's listen to their offers. If it's killer, we can consider it. If it's nothing special, then let's test the market. If they can't use you in Buffalo, we'll find another team that will."
  11. Sign him. You never know when you need a freakishly tall guy to get something off the top shelf.
  12. If this holdout is going to change Peters value, then the Bills can just let him hit free agency or cut him and sign him back at a reduced contract.
  13. I agree. Just playing devil's advocate. What if the Bills decide that Evans wants "too much" and/or someone else will fit their system better? Evans best was when he was paired with Losman, and you can't say they haven't turned the page on the Losman experiment.
  14. It's cold and hard, but it's also true.
  15. What happens if Hardy actually pans out and does above average? Who's to say the Bills don't look at him as a younger, cheaper WR to build their team around and pass on the older Evans? Evans and Losman are both the last regime's holdovers.
  16. Spending too much time in the tanning bed isn't good for you.
  17. Maybe he didn't want to convert to DB.
  18. I know this is cynical, but is he in the last year of his contract?
  19. Jason Webster got cut. Too bad for Trent, Brett, and Chad.
  20. Anybody mention the NFL Network? Now that the NFL is its own media outlet, I would guess that the playing field for getting information is most likely slanted. Further, since the NFL Network is strictly about self-promotion, the coverage can become non-stop heavy handed hype and even veer into the domain of suspect tripe. I miss the days of a truly good story (ESPN does these stories -- like the story about the SC fire captain / basketball coach -- but they are rare) and find filling time and space with more or less dumbed down pablum just isn't that interesting.
  21. The reason to keep James around is that, other than McGee, he is the only one that can claim to know what he's doing with a straight face.
