  1. Well, that has no relevance, does it? Far better to hang McNally for the cluster that was the Steve Fairchild offense.
  2. Unfortunately for the McNally haters, the OL improved for the relatively short time he was in Buffalo. I'm not sure why people demand that he sprinkle pixie dust on a steaming pile of uninterested poo because of its draft position; and, then turn around and ridicule teaching technique to a raw athlete and turning that guy into a football player and a Pro Bowler. Makes no sense at all. Butler was another McNally project, a T in college and Jim was able to take him and convert him to a good RG in very little time. Sometimes one should actually consider the player himself and whether or not he is motivated to do all the little things it takes to be successful. Here's an exercise for the reader: List by name all the OL coaches that turned steaming pile OL units into top OLs with zero changes and instantly. Without this list, it is preposterous to demand that McNally should have done exactly that and since it didn't happen conclude that he was a lousy OL coach.
  3. What I don't get is why it should be illegal for a defender to dive at a QB trying to make a play, but it's OK for an offensive lineman to dive at a defender's knee to protect the QB. Who's the person that decided that Tom Brady's knees deserve more protection than Osi Umenyiora's?
  4. I thought we needed a 7'0" WR to play center in the pickup games.
  5. Ryan Plackemeier was inexcusably dreadful. He kicked like a guy with a broken leg. No surprise that he got his wake up call. Jordan Kent is a speed/track (and basketball) guy that has very little football experience and it showed in his route running. If he can't run the routes, all the speed in the world is useless as Hasselbeck won't be able to get him the ball. In general, the Seahawks WRs looked like garbage and couldn't catch anything, even if it hit them right in the bread basket.
  6. No doubt about it, it was a good start. On the other hand, it was one game. Maybe we should wait and see a few more games before lining up for a group gob knob. On the third hand, gob knobbing Bobby April seems totally appropriate!
  7. Throwing elbows at the opponent is common in MMA ... oh wait, never mind.
  8. and after watching the Giants.
  9. True. But, he is tall.
  10. Is Randy Moss a rocket surgeon?
  11. He has a low motor.
  12. He should start.
  13. Special teams and the fact that Seattle had absolutely nothing on offense (and lost Morris and Burleson, the only guys that could do anything, during the game). Looks like it is going to be one brutal and long season for Mike Holmgren. Sucks for him.
  14. He was in and out of the game from what I heard. Apparently, Norv doesn't want him to get cut blocked every snap of a game.
  15. Hell, even Youboty knew he was skating on thin, cracking ice. I want the dude to learn that chicken neck dance, though. Then, mad props.
  16. Maybe he'll just wrap it in bubble pack and duct tape like Shawn Merriman.
  17. Not disagreeing with the subject line, but you got to remember that the last time he called a Bills game it was when the Patriots were scoring at will and the Bills couldn't do a damn thing on offense, defense, or special teams.
  18. You noticed that too, eh? And, I thought it was "Collinsworthless", but that was yesterday...
  19. Why is it 'okay' to do with a Pro Bowl CB? Exactly. It is premature laudation to say this situation is over, the FO has definitely won, this result will eliminate the holdout as a negotiation tactic. Fort Sumter didn't decide the war. In fact, if the FO is slow to get to the table this year, it wouldn't be surprising to see another holdout from Peters himself.
  20. I've said before that I don't agree with Parker's strategy in this. A holdout is a tactic of last resort to send team management the message that the player is not happy with the compensation he is getting. At a certain point, you have to realize that the message is received and that accumulating fines and missing practices is only hurting the player and keeping the player from getting all of his peanuts. Send the message load and clear, sure, but then the player should show up and prove to management that he is a professional and will do the job. Frankly, if management just doesn't clue in then the player's best chance in the age of free agency is to put in the work and use his current team as a farm team and auditioning platform, hit free agency, and get his big contract. The re-worked contract that Peters signed was a mistake for him and a huge bargain for the Bills. Obviously, the Bills don't want to renegotiate every contract every year, just as they don't want to set a precedent that they'll simply discard any veteran that wants out. Furthermore, they don't want to paint themselves as tough guys that won't take care of their guys either. That's why "we win, you're a loser!" and "stick it to him!" don't make much sense. Peters isn't going to get his big new contract immediately, but if he does show up and does play and play well, it will be in the FO's best interest to set aside any enmity and work on rebuilding a positive relationship. Hopefully for us fans, both sides will do so.
  21. You are wrong. He is a bad guy. Brandon should have him executed for screwing with our team!
  22. Props to the front office. Who is not a Russ Brandon fan now? Besides, the product on the field is really irrelevant.
  23. What did the Bills FO win exactly? Do you really think they showed up Parker and Peters? This is still a negotiation and nothing has been settled at all other than Peters will come in and expects continued negotiations. Seems like a stalemate at best, or more likely a lose-lose situation. Peters didn't work 1 second with his teammates and the Bills will now have to negotiate with someone that is even less likely to want to compromise.
