    Did you read Evans' "happy" remarks about the scheme? Basically, everyone runs a deep clear out and the QB has nobody to throw it to other than to dump it off to a back. I was assuming that the routes had some sort of pre-snap read to them, but I may be giving the whole thing too much credit. The passing game may be designed exclusively so that all the receivers are decoys.

    I know. It's hard to ignore that it is more likely the system and that defenses know exactly which looks to give to cause the Bills to go into the "check down turtle shell" passing game.

    They can't really be that bad can they? The WRs are young and can only get better. Or so I was told. Do people really think it is 100% coincidental that both Bills QBs throw check downs and dump offs? Really?

    But, that's obviously false. JP was a Buffalo Bill before Jauron came here and still is. Trent Edwards was drafted only last year. That's a good question. Though, blaming this latest loss on the backup QB is serious reaching.

    Given all the shiite he's been in this last year, it is clear that by far the biggest danger to Plaxico Burress is Plaxico Burress.

    Good point. Parcells has said, in the past, he's not big on Losman. But, he might turn up with the Pats or Jets next year. That'd be a real kick in the pants.

    I'm shocked nobody has mentioned Chicago. Tampa would be an interesting option as well. Of course, it would be more helpful to those that want JP to fail if he went to Detroit, where nothing good happens.

    Is there any evidence that supports the idea that John Guy unilaterally targets and signs the players he likes and wants with no involvement from anyone else? I know for a fact that when free agents visit the Bills they meet with and talk to Dick Jauron, as well as other members of the coaching staff, at great length.

    Sure. It's completely impossible. Of course, they might try to run right over his small a55 and have a 300+ lbs. lineman bury him until he's taken off on the back of a golf cart, but what the fug, right?

    Holmgren is a winner, a QB guru, and has Super Bowl rings. We'd rather see if Dick can pull it together. Thanks anyway. Spoken like a true fan. BTW, you're kidding yourself if you think Holmgren has some sort of loyalty to a 9ers organization that has nothing in common with the one he left 18 years ago.
