  1. You start the "gameday thread" means Bills lose. We all know it and cannot be fooled.
  2. And then there was Skoob, trying to guarantee a loss...
  3. Unger was the starting LT with the Ducks but was moved to C with the emergence of Fenuki Tupou. He's a stud and has some versatility as well. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned AQ Shipley, Rimington Award winner as the nation's best C.
  4. The motion caused the Sam to shift back off the line. He did press Fasano from the inside, but his jam is pretty lame. Fasano did jab step around him and then took the post route back to the inside. The ball wasn't thrown then. Whitner comes up at that point, probably expecting what you described, but Fasano takes a good 5 or 7 strides to get on level with Whitner, at which point Whitner is beaten and can't make a play on the ball or Fasano as the ball is dropped in and Fasano catches it in the endzone for the score. There was no switch, so the Sam was playing the 5th in front of Fasano. The Will actually does get a good jam on the flanker on the original weak side. First, I'd say the Dophins were expecting this vanilla zone defense. The motion just declares the defense and then they ran the skinny route right across Whitner's face, baiting him to try to jump the route, but knowing there will be no real pressure and going over the top. In a cover 2, the under zones aren't going to drop 20 yards deep to help Whitner out. Finally, the Dolphins were clearly wanting to match-up Fasano against Whitner on the play; Fasano has very good speed and a size advantage on Whitner, so even if Whitner had been in position, the play had a good chance. It all worked perfectly for them.
  5. Gregg Williams will probably be available.
  6. Not trying to establish any sort of offensive identity seems like the same old same old.
  7. Context is rather important here. If the Ravens win then they are in regardless of what the Patriots do. Harbaugh is simply saying that they are going into this last game like it is a playoff game and not going to hope that the Bills upset the Patriots so they can back into a playoff spot. His comments are really crediting Belichick in that he believes the Patriots are going to do everything within their power to make the playoffs and Belichick isn't going to let them show up at the stadium with their U-Hauls packed.
  8. Maybe the Bills don't "discuss contracts" because they believe it makes them appear to be savvy businessmen.
  9. A good reason to throw guaranteed money at him!
  10. Andre Johnson, Roddy White, Calvin Johnson, Antonio Bryant ... all top 10 WRs without a threat on the other side of the formation. Great players make other players around them better. Average players need great players around them to look better than they are.
  11. The bad knee might scare some people off, if they weren't already put off by his pedigree and the system he plays in.
  12. Why even watch? Just look at the standings in the paper once in a while.
  13. Not just that, but McGahee wasn't going to help the team for at least another year and the coach was on a lame duck season with both feet already dangling out of the door, parachute on, and goggles in place.
  14. Jauron had a win over the Redskins last year, too! We're on our way fellas!
  15. Ironic. One of the key positions is SS ... Bryan Scott has been getting more and more playing time at SS over Whitner.
  16. If you have Wes Welker on your fantasy team, play him.
  17. Nobody from the Buffalo organization is listed. I wonder why.
  18. The Bills have great character guys. They apologize and help up the Patriots star (and not-so-star) players after they tackle them.
  19. Can't decide between Brian Moorman and John Wendling.
  20. He did drag down Higgins 8 yards deep in the end zone.
  21. People want to believe he's an invisible but great player because they want to believe in Marv Levy and Santa Claus. He plays small, slow, and not very instinctive for his draft position and contract. Chris Kelsey has many of the same problems and many advocate that the Bills cut him outright for comparison.
  22. Matt Millen would trade a 1st rounder for him. Oh wait...
  23. Thanks, Dick. You turned this team around from one that averaged 7 wins a season under the previous coach to a team that wins an average of 7 games a year.
  24. He's done in Buffalo. Put a giant fork in his helmet.
