  1. Trouble is that with competent coaching, this team would've had the talent to have a winning record. With great coaching, this team wins the division and is in the playoffs. Sprinkling in a few more draft picks and expecting the third and fourth year "veteran leadership" to repair the short bus (the only bus they've ever known) in which they are riding is beyond the pale.
  2. A $100 billboard? Is it a postage stamp sized board off the beaten path in Jonesville, AL?
  3. He had to be thinking it, even if he is an overly polite boy scout. What are the odds he is blowing the dust off his resume at this moment?
  4. It sort of sounds that way. Maybe Brandon was (responsibly) fairly concerned about the marketing consequences of this (lack of) decision?
  5. That says it all. Ralph "hopes it works out." Basically, he's not going to do anything other than dodder and giggle and he'll wait for deus ex machina.
  6. That's the truly sad thing. When you boil this down, this move basically says, "We (the inner circle) know that this stuff stinks and should be fixed. But, we don't have a clue how to fix it and because of our past blunders, dumb hires, and mistakes, we scare ourselves so bad that we're not even going to try to change anything. We've screwed up so badly for so long, we can't trust ourselves to make a competent decision so we choose to do nothing."
  7. This is the Friggin Lonnie Johnson coach and staff. Every year, people would say that was the year Lonnie would finally put it together, translate all that potential and talent into making plays on the field. And, every year, like clockwork, he'd do the same shenanigans, like when he caught the pass on the fake punt only to keep running while looking behind him, get absolutely lit up by Darren Sharper, and fumble the ball. Well, now we are supposed to believe that Dick Jauron is finally going to get it together and become an NFL head coach with another chance. It's hysterical, really.
  8. Skeletor was actually pretty buff under the spandex. Dick, not so much.

  10. It's brain dead simple actually. You pay him market value.
  11. Yep. And, Al's certifiable. But at least he wants to win.
  12. Just wondering if someone still kept a list of other teams' message boards for those that are jumping the Titanic...
  13. Fowler is paid about the same as Peters. So, we should cut Peters!
  14. It's being generous to call him a bad player because he can't really play.
  15. Agreed. He doesn't need to be in AAA ball any longer. Let him go on to the big leagues.
  16. WTFH is he talking about? Nothing happened! Wake up call?!? Where was that call all season?!?
  17. Why? So they can bring in more guys that fit the schemes like pigs wearing lipstick?
  18. He's a nice guy.
  19. Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic... From the context, it sounds like the guys drafted 2-3 years ago are now going to be expected to lead the team and improve the situation. Snap your fingers and these guys turn into Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, and Bruce Smith.
  20. Optimistically, we can look forward to the #1 pick overall.
  21. Because he doesn't care about winning a Super Bowl. Only about competing, as in fielding a team. Basically, this was an investment that turned into a bonanza goldmine bigger than his wildest dreams and he's just happy to be around the game and go out with his boots on knowing his family is set for a few generations. Thanks, Ralph.
