  1. I didn't think your post was serious. Nor exceedingly funny, since, you know, Pegula didn't have anything to do with Marrone's contract. (I guess I'm not at the laugh-it-off stage yet. Sorry.)
  2. How is Marrone's contract on Pegula?
  3. What is higher than Saint? Pope? He could wait for the Jacksonville job.
  4. No disagreement. Heck, I think even Orton regressed—and he came in cold out of the freezer—in this offense as time went on. The more film teams had, the more weaknesses were routinely exploited.
  5. There may even be some truth to this take. By the end of preseason, the narrative of "we're fine" turned into a fire drill and a quick hook for Manuel. A benching which still completely ticks off several posters.

  7. Hackett needs more soak time. (Seriously, I can't see him being retained.)
  8. But he can bring Peyton Manning's system to Buffalo. Maybe teach it to Can't Hackett.
  9. All Polian is saying is that he doesn't feel he is really the right guy for this job. Taking him at his word, that's actually a good thing. The Marv Levy hire wasn't all that long ago. Marv agreed, as a personal favor to Ralph, to come in and do some feather dusting for a couple years when the place needed renovation. Buddy Nix was another throwback to the glory days and he ran out of gas as well. How many years has the franchise been set back with hiring tired, familiar faces from the 80s and 90s?
  10. This isn't internally consistent. If Marrone reports to ownership, his boss is Pegula. Why call him second? Also, how would you be a "scumbag" for not calling someone who has no authority?
  11. Next time one of your people leaves, you might want to call the VP in a different division before your own boss.
  12. Well, it tells me that the idea that was floated that Russ has had nothing to do with the football side is rather suspect.
  13. "Undisputed"? Hmm. Where is that dictionary and let me call my Titans fan friend...

  15. I wouldn't take anything to the bank at this point. More change seems highly probable.
  16. It really depends on his reasons if/when someone asks him. If he has clear cut reasons for leaving, then he might actually be admired for leaving a situation. If his reasons are completely nonsensical or based purely on greed, then an employer might be wise to have reservations. Nothing new though. The same applies universally.
  17. Well, that was one way of putting it, I suppose.
  18. I call Mularkey on this thread.
  19. Elevate Can't Hackett out of the way to HC and bring in Trestman as OC. No one will see the continuity coming.
  20. He could be headed to San Francisco ...
  21. Maybe ownership decided the tap dance about the offense didn't have anything to do with the song the monkey with the organ grinder was playing. Maybe they wanted Can't Hackett gone.
  22. Chandler, this looks like a dup thread...
