  1. Who's dumbest? Tom Donahoe for trading up to get JP Losman Mike Mularkey for thinking Losman was ready after sitting on the sideline with his leg in a cast Marv Levy/Dick Jauron for thinking they could salvage Losman Turk Schonert for thinking he could salvage Losman The OP
  2. But they are high character idiots.
  3. Sounds like a perfect fit; someone that can be coached up.
  4. Sounds sort of explosive.
  5. NFL Network should trade him for draft picks.
  6. Steve Hutchinson. With him at LG, your team will be an elite team running the football. Run and stop the run. Wins football games. There are other great guards. Alan Faneca. Will Shields. Heck, even Ruben Brown, who was the bulldozer for nearly every third and short situation the Bills faced when he was here and won his battle more often than not... Having an elite guard rather than a scrub does make a difference. Ask Shaun Alexander if losing Hutchinson and replacing him with Womack made no difference. Not sure why you think the Bills would trade Roscoe for a guard though...
  7. Actually, I'm not bashing him as a return man. Indeed, I don't think the Bills will get good value for him because he is a return man. There is a big difference.
  8. He's highly coveted in the 5'7" and under league that is forming. So I was told.
  9. Can we get a chocolate bunny for him? A few posters here keep repeating that he is fat, lazy and dumb. That should be good enough for ya!
  10. I heard he was fat, lazy, and dumb.
  11. I hope so too. How many times does this team need to spin the "scrub lineman roulette wheel" and stupidly wonder why their offense can't get out of its own way?
  12. No need to draft a lineman now. Yey!
  13. It's hard for a WR to look good when 80% of the passes are to the RBs and TEs. Of course, it could be the WRs suck or it could be that the QB is just Commander Checkdown or the offensive system or the protections suck or ...
  14. The problem with trying to turn the Broncos into the Patriots overnight is that the Patriots were a defensive team first and foremost. The Broncos haven't got a defense and have to start over from scratch on that side of the ball. So, Wunderkind McDaniels starts out the job by building a "game managing" offense to compliment his great defense. Yeah, baby! The Bears still have all their top receivers from last year: Forte, Olsen, Hester, Clark, Davis. They drafted Earl Bennett last year. Bennett had James Hardy disease in that he came into the NFL unprepared and trying to read the playbook upside down. Some people felt that he was really catching on the last month of the season though... but, yeah, he's totally unproven at this point. PS: Anyone recall that Orton was already on a team with a "game managing" offense that went to a Super Bowl? But, he wasn't the manager, he was the guy with the clipboard watching Rex Grossman manage the team to the big show.
  15. Let's not forget that they signed a backup OL from Carolina. And, we know what that means.
  16. Thank goodness we don't have a GM like Jerry Angelo!
  17. Who's the trade partner? Gino at Rosario's Pizzeria? Nobody is going to trade good value for a guy that's held out 3 years running. They know you've got a white hot poker up your arse and aren't going to help you out one iota. Nate Clements wanted the best deal he could get on the open market. The fact that some other teams were willing to give him a big signing bonus and a back loaded contract that had an impressive total dollar amount wasn't under Clements direct control. The "insane" adjective is your own manifestation; he got the best deal he could and took advantage of the Bills stupidity to not protect their investment. Yes, the Bills front office, Marv Levy specifically, foolishly said, "Sure, OK, whatever you want to do, Nate." They let him hit free agency without protecting their own interests. It's rather comical that fans are so protective of Ralph Wilson's largess. Indeed, he has to spend his portion of the skyrocketing salary cap on some players. The number of players on a team hasn't changed, so the ever inflating pool of money has to be thrown at someone per the rules of the CBA. And people wring their hands over whether a delta of $1M or $2M per year is "insane" in a contract negotiation. You're fighting the wrong fight. You're should really be pissed at the system. The system has never been completely fair nor are players wrong to capitalize when wheelbarrows full of money are being tossed around like confetti at New Year's.
  18. You just don't get it. He held out on my team!
  19. To be complete: Pete said he told him to stay, that was his best option. Pete also said that he fully supported the decision and that he thought Sanchez was going to have a great NFL career. He wasn't throwing the kid under the bus; and, in a huge landslide sort of way, he was way, way in Mark's corner and is cheering him on like all of "his guys". Pete may not dish out the non-committal, pure bland pablum like our Dickster, but he is really totally behind his kids.
  20. Yes, one could take it that way if they chose. Actually, I don't think so. Sanchez wasn't the franchise at USC. I think Pete was being painfully honest. Sanchez is more likely to spend next season riding the bench or getting the snot knocked out of him on a bad team. At USC, he'd play and be on a good team and get more reps, be able to develop more, etc. USC has a stable full of excellent young QBs in the pipeline already and they'll continue to be fine. Really, Sanchez needed USC far more than they needed Sanchez.
  21. How do they entertain offers anyway? Beer and pizza? Or steak, wine, and the ballet?
  22. Pete Carroll said that he advised Sanchez to stay in school and that would be his best path to success in the NFL. Sanchez ignored the advice and declared for the draft.
