  1. Too big. If he could lose about 15 pounds, though...
  2. Walker will be fine. This really sucks for those that claimed IQ was a major upgrade over Fowler.
  3. Speaking of wearing out the defense, having a quick 3 and out sprint coupled with our small-but-fast Tampa-2 defense seems like a formula for ....
  4. Many players are not going to go from being the star or one of the stars on their team, to signing a veteran minimum contract in May with a handshake to get a chance to make the team as a role player, backup, or special teams contributor. That is the effect of the salary cap: big name players that can no longer play up to their superstar status are forced out of the game before they really want to (or physically have to) go.
  5. Peters' stupidity was the sole reason the offense didn't work, didn't you know? Like the year before the sole reason for the inept offense was that Steve Fairchild was stupid. And before that it was because the front offices always kept Jauron from having even an average QB. For a stupid guy with zero leverage, Peters sure did get exactly what he wanted -- out of Buffalo and a big pay day. And, the Bills front office got rid of their two highest graded lineman. Both for the same reason; apparently, they didn't feel like paying them. That's smart. And, bad means good.
  6. I know and edited my post. About Dockery: a Redskins offensive coach was saying that Dockery had really slipped from where he was when he was with Washington the first time around. They were glad to have him back and think he has a lot of ability, but the situation in Buffalo had not been good for Derrick. Both he and the Redskins know that and they are working hard to get him back on track.
  7. How ironic would it be if the 2 were Peters and Dockery? Edit: I see in the comments that it was, as I suspected, Peters who graded out over 90%. But the front office only gets rid of players that suck.
  8. The article started out very positive.
  9. He'd look good holding a clipboard on the Bills sidelines as the Bills try to operate their 4 or 5 wide sets.
  10. Declaring a 5, maybe 6, protection in May with a line that has 0 NFL snaps. It should be exciting and all good for somebody, for sure.
  11. The thing is that the offense is so bad it makes the defense look ok. Opponents knew that they didn't have to score a lot and were willing to take what the defense offered. Those soul crushing 8 and 9 minute drives didn't happen because the defense was playing great. It was better than 2 years ago, when teams just toyed with our defense and did whatever they wanted to whenever they wanted to. But, that's not saying anything.
  12. I'm still waiting for Jacksonville to give us their DL for a box of tape.
  13. So, let's see. If someone in the media gets something wrong, ala Clayton, he is ripped a new one. On the other hand, if someone in the media doesn't gush all over the 0-for-the-millennium Bills, he is ripped a new one.
  14. Players should just leave their heads in their lockers before the game. That would eliminate all head-to-head contact. (The rules committee is pandering to an audience to downplay the violence of the game. Anybody that thinks passing a bunch of poorly defined rules is going to result in players being able to change their physiology, heck physics itself, to the point to react within hundredths or thousands of a second is seriously delusional. The game isn't played in double extra super slo-mo.)
  15. What have the Bills done to improve this area? They drafted a DE that is a 1 down player and a CB to convert to FS with their top picks. Nic Harris, if he makes the team, is a small LB/S tweener that probably fits best as a special teams guy and, again, playing an under zone in our scheme. Faletoese, Jenkins, and Lindquist are the camp fodder and all are on the small side. Faletoese scouting report: A quick penetrating type of DT. Can be blown off the line, as he is very light at the point of attack. Can be frustrated by the double team. Production against questionable competition makes him a virtual unknown. Jenkins scouting report: Plays high, gets overpowered, technique needs work. More of an inside pass rusher. Played all over the line at Ky.
  16. He's not the priority.
  17. So, you must have supported Ellison when he was drafted by the Bills or else you'd be stupid. But now you're ready to throw Ellison under the bus for the newer undersized later round draft pick who hasn't played a single NFL snap.
  18. So, Al Davis probably wouldn't have drafted him.
  19. I'm not ready to say he sucks as an NFL football player (it's a little early for that ), but his combine numbers do suck. He is not the best "pure athlete" according to those drills.
  20. What a bust. Carolina should trade the bum. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4121570
  21. Well, on the bright side, Maybin might be coming into his own by the time the next coaching staff starts to get their program rolling; and, they finally drafted some lineman.
  22. Why is it wrong? I speculate that the position in Houston was a promotion, probably more money, had more young talent to work with, and represented more job security.
  23. I wrote the question, and I think I know what I meant.
  24. This thread needs pickle juice.
