Given the mounting injuries, it's a good thing the Bills had a soft training camp. Wouldn't have wanted our player to get nicked and dented in July; better it happens now.

By the same logic, the win against the hapless Bucs 2 weeks ago really hurt our playoff chances.

I don't care who is to blame, but the state of the OL going into this season was a major mistake. Having 3 guys that had never taken a snap, 1 of whom had missed most of the pre-season with injuries, the other T having missed time with injuries, and cast-offs as your depth is a bad plan. They did get rid of their 3 most expensive lineman though. Wahoo! Hooray!

You can't be serious. Why are you worried about playoff tiebreakers at this point? They have to actually get enough wins to tie a playoff caliber team in the AFC. It's way, way, way too early. I mean they haven't won a single game in conference play yet and you're discussing playoff tiebreaker scenarios?

I agree that Losman was a bust. That doesn't mean that the Bills organization is off the hook completely. Exactly the opposite, in fact. (I saw no "polishing" going on. Losman last year was a horrible QB and ended his career looking like a far worse player than he started.)

Whether you choose to ignore it or not, the Bills "development" of Losman was a clinic in how to ruin a QB. He wasn't ready when Donahoe anointed him and he's worse now.

So, I guess the Eli Manning / Phillip Rivers trade never happened. He can't be traded because the deadline has passed.

Other than for the fact he quit, that might have been true.

This isn't the first time the Bills have been in a division with Hall-of-Fame QBs on the other side and excellent WRs and TEs. In days gone by and long forgotten, the Bills used to convert CBs -- you know guys with great cover skills -- to play S so the middle of the field wasn't totally wide open. Now we're talking about using a slow college S converted to LB because of his poor cover skills and how he might improve covering the deep middle of the field. Oh boy.
