  1. Starting LBs were Mitchell, Poz, and Ellison. This is the actual list on IR from their website: 60 Butler, Brad OL 6-7 315 26 4 Virginia 25 Hairston, Justise RB 6-1 210 26 1 Central Connecticut 71 McGhee, Jermaine DE 6-2 257 25 1 Prairie View A&M 28 McKelvin , Leodis CB 5-10 184 24 2 Troy 61 Philip, Marvin C 6-1 307 27 1 California 40 Sargeant, Lydell DB 6-1 187 22 R Penn State 80 Schouman, Derek TE 6-2 223 24 3 Boise State 98 Smith, Marcus DE 6-4 295 25 1 Arizona http://www.buffalobills.com/team/roster.html
  2. Bob Whitsitt is a generic sports management type (sound familiar?) who worked for Paul Allen as GM of his NBA team and President of his NFL team. His results were poor in both jobs. The Blazers were horrible when he ran the show, becoming known as the Jailblazers with ridiculous numbers of legal run-ins, and only improved after he resigned. He installed himself as the sole personnel decision-maker, ousting Holmgren, with Bob Ferguson filling in as a buffer GM between Whitsitt and Holmgren. Whitsitt was a self-proclaimed "basketball guy" and was a disaster. He was quickly fired and Ferguson resigned. Holmgren took the Seahawks to the Super Bowl the next season. Ruskell was hired away from Atlanta as the next President the day after Ferguson resigned/retired and was there for the Super Bowl.
  3. Paul Vosburgh for head coach.
  4. Here a good one... http://m2.wnymedia.net/files/2009/10/Faceb...ile-Uploads.jpg
  5. Or this line: "The AFC East is shaping up to be a good race... Well, except for Buffalo, they're not part of the equation. You got 3 good teams there fighting it out."
  6. The 1% that think everything tastes great and is less filling with the Bills.
  7. Exactly. It pays to have someone that knows what they are doing. 25 coaches out of 449 have won a Super Bowl versus 2 out of 8 have gone back with a new team.
  8. Are you saying the fans should be more like Jauron? Take all the blame, sit in the stands with a 1000 yard stare, and give the occasional golf clap when something blows up in a mushroom cloud?
  9. The one thing that might make a difference is to tell Van Pelt that the no huddle experiment is over and that the scheme and play calling is going to play to whatever strengths this team has. There is no way with the guys they have playing OL that they can be successful by not communicating. 9 false starts at home. Stupid is as stupid does.
  10. You have to be in it to win it. What makes one think the Bills are adept at identifying coordinators that are ready to lead the franchise?
  11. He's the Notre Dame version of Captain Checkdown, though.
  12. If a new regime comes in and has the latitude to actually spend money, they'll want to start by getting their franchise QB. Edwards is done. They will also want to correct the situation of having no OTs or depth on OL. Finally, they'll want to address the DL and bring in players there. There are a lot of holes and it may not be a 1 year turn around like the Falcons. Still, building from the S or WR position has been shown for the stupidity it is.
  13. Actually, there were plenty of folks on radio yesterday that were saying the Raiders, Bills, and Browns do not belong in this league and need a league of their own. "The gulf between the haves and have-nots has never been wider." "Some of these organizations stole last year's Detroit Lions blueprints and think they got something."
  14. Pretty much. The 'leader' of the team announced that he wasn't a fan, he just punches the clock here. Pretty motivational stuff.
  15. They don't experience winning football there, do they?
  16. I wasn't clear there. I meant, most every team in the NFL had 0 interest in him when the Cowboys cut him. He was a pariah this past off-season. What's changed? Nothing. Other than Bills fans think all that baggage disappeared because he signed with Buffalo. What team is really going to give up something for Owens and take on the Bills contract?
  17. Edwards is done. His time to become a professional golfer is now.
  18. Trouble is, Cameron is an excellent, veteran coach who has a lot of contacts with other successful coaches and thus had other offers with better organizations where he his chances of being successful were maximized. I think you grossly overvalue the "perk" of being allowed to perform a circling, holding pattern as the OC for a dysfunctional franchise so you can be tabbed to muck out the stalls for a handful of games when the head chicken finally gets the guillotine.
  19. Did you see that pass?! Wow. And Braylon Edwards sucks.
  20. Why would Cam Cameron want to coach here under Dick Jauron?
  21. Many of the UFL players played in the NFL. There are a lot of bubble players that could be in the NFL but for whatever reason, it hasn't worked out yet (and may not ever). It's no worse than the NFLE and the NFLE gave some pretty good players a chance in the NFL.
  22. We haven't had a decent line in so long, it's all starting to blur together as one big crap basket. But, yes, I remember. As bad as the line play has been -- there's your continuity! -- I can't blame those clowns for JP looking like he had just smoked meth before the game. He was out-of-control and trying to become the greatest NFL QB ever on each snap. It's just too bad the Pats* don't have a QB like that.
  23. Maybe Edwards needs some Griese goggles...
  24. In the end, he was a complete and total bust for the Bills. Something some Bills fans seem thrilled to no end about.
  25. Like Dick's hand picked franchise QB? Cade was a gem. All the strippers loved that guy.
