  1. Why blame Turk? This is Dick Jauron's offense. How many OCs and QBs does it take for people to start seeing that the one commonality in all these crappy offenses is no one other than Dick Jauron? Jauron offenses as ranked by points scored: 26th, 28th, 11th, 27th, 24th, 23rd, 30th, 23rd, and 25th*. 1 year out of 8+ has a Dick Jauron coached team been in the upper 50% of NFL teams (the only year he had a winning record or coached his team to the playoffs and got blown out at home).
  2. Trent Edwards, the run defense, never-ending injuries, continued Dick Jauron brain farts, ill-conceived offense, not being able to get the ball to either WR, Aaron Maybin being JAG on the field, special teams stinking up the joint, Marshawn Lynch being mostly invisible, and people thinking Fitzpatpatsack has a "cannon arm" because he threw a couple pitches more than 5 yards unlike Trentative Checkwards.
  3. I don't know what your definition of "pretty good" is, but the guy's arm is barely adequate to stick around in this league. He is probably better at reading defenses than Trent and will take shots, but why not? Nobody expects much from him anyway. He's the highest paid QB on the team and the backup. What are they going to do? Bench him?
  4. Yes. He was the QB coach. Promoting the QB coach to OC is a reflex for Dick. The TD to Booker on Thanksgiving of 1999 was very early in the 4th quarter, btw.
  5. Crowton was the Bears OC in 99 and 00.
  6. "Ran them into the ground" with a 9-7 record last year. If Dick Jauron could coach any team to 9-7, he'd win Coach of the Year. Talk about having it backwards, the Raiders were bad before Gruden and aren't even an NFL caliber franchise now. The Buccaneers went right over the cliff this year, after cleaning out Allen and Gruden. Obviously, Gruden isn't perfect but he's proven he can win in the NFL, which is a lot better than the garbage we have now.
  7. Because nobody wants to take on a huge contract for a guy with near nil production. Fair or unfair, nobody wants to pony up first and find out later.
  8. Can you imagine if Evans played for the Colts or Patriots?
  9. And he was one of the better run defenders.
  10. Fitzpatpatsack isn't afraid to just let it rip. But, his toolbox is limited. As far as AVP's comments, I suppose compared to AVP himself, Ryan has a "great arm" but that's comparing a wet dish rag to a noodle.
  11. TO said the Bills scheme does little to nothing to make opportunities for the WRs. Revis confirms the same from the opposite side of the LOS and he's "running at the mouth"?
  12. Maybe he needs a punt catcher like Roscoe.
  13. Maybe they need to simplify the scheme some more.
  14. So, basically, you admit that you have nothing. You declared that the Bills were not the only team interested in putting Meredith on their active roster and act like this was some sort of common knowledge. I called you on it and you make up **** and try to change the subject. You've got nothing to back it up but references to tampons and calling me stupid.
  15. You're full of ****. Who else was trying to land him, !@#$?
  16. There is no contradiction at all. The Packers OL has been struggling. Look it up. They did like him. They drafted him and they signed him to their practice squad. The Bills made a claim for him and the Packers decided they did not like him enough to put him on the regular roster. The contradiction is that Meredith was highly coveted by dozens of NFL teams and the Bills pulled some "extraordinary piece of front office work" to acquire him.
  17. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?...t&p=1606339 Let me type it slowly so you can follow along, OK? I never said Meredith sucked yesterday. Understand? Good. How does quoting that article support your claim that there were numerous teams that were drooling to get Jamon Meredith who somehow managed to be cut, clear waivers, and sit on the Packers practice squad for a month? Your claim is supported by nothing other than a "cause I knows what I nose." Idiot.
  18. Not sure which former injured All Pro you mean, but whatever. Got a link to the scores of teams that were desperate to sign Meredith? http://packingcheese.com/2009/09/22/jamon-...with-the-bills/ http://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2009/9/2...-signs-with-the Here's one that says the Bills assistant OL coach was the one that really thought highly of Jamon. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/story/832076.html
  19. But Bill Walsh lobbied for him.
  20. Yes, signing a project OT that no other team wants, including the Packers who have their own well documented major problems along the OL and the right of first refusal, and who has never taken a snap in the NFL is so much better than signing a former All-Pro if he can still play. That's brilliant.
  21. Nice spin. They have a "good" pass defense because they have the worst run defense in the NFL. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tab...mp;d-447263-n=1
