  1. T.O. is actually our leading receiver.
  2. Our offense is averaging less than 3 yards a carry and just over 3 yards a pass attempt.
  3. That was one fugly disaster of an offense ... 39 yards, 7:40 top, gave up a safety ... and we're ahead?!? Whoa! Dickeradoo ball sucks rocks.
  4. Last 4 O plays for -5 yards... TO catches one. Whew! Followed by a sack. <_<
  5. Kind of interesting that a dude picked up off the street may be our best LB, no? "We like our guys."
  6. Glad we got rid of that guy. Saved a ton of money too!
  7. What Optimistic Opie didn't say is that the Panthers have 13 sacks and the Bills 14. Huge gulf there.
  8. Felser is making a mountain out of a mole hill on this. Jauron is just somewhat cryptically saying he has not communicated with Edwards in the first person and is following the rules and therefore dodging the question as to Trent's actual progress. Why he didn't say the medical staff is monitoring the situation, etc. like most other coaches would have is anybody's guess. An NFL head coach gets a daily medical update on his team.
  9. Who's touting? I was merely pointing out the fearless matchups. The Panthers run defense is bad, but ours is even worse and maybe on pace to obliterate records in futility. Not to mention our secondary continues to be banged up. Does that make you feel happier?
  10. Fearless matchups: Bell/Meredith/Scott vs. Julius Peppers Williams and Stewart vs. the 32nd best run defense Steve Smith vs. Drayton Florence Fitzpatpatsack vs. #2 pass defense
  11. Better than last week. They were 3-13 a week ago over the last 16 games.
  12. Well, you can't even spell Gregg's name right, so I'm not surprised that you can't understand that a coach without a contract cannot be fired. Edit: I realize the title of the article says "Firing" but that is poor editing and clearly not the case if you read the article. Williams was offered and spurned a contract extension before the season. He went into his final season with his 1st round pick being wasted on a player who'd never play that year. He went into his final season being hen pecked about his staff and having the front office impose their own choices of coaches on him. We find out now that he supposedly lobbied to get Drew Brees as his franchise QB (cannot be verified of course and may be revisionist) but was apparently overruled. The Bills suffered a collapse down the stretch of his final year (just like last year) and Donahoe realized, correctly, that even trying to bring back his coach after that would be a marketing blunder. But, that's assuming Williams had interest in coming back in the first place. It's pretty clear from his actions that he was not completely sold on staying in Buffalo. He could have been in the exact same situation Jauron was in last year -- signing an extension, having his team fold and die during the stretch run, and Ralph lobbying to keep him rather than pay him to stay home. Indeed, his decision wasn't bad. He got out of Buffalo and found a job quickly in Washington and was supposedly the head coach in waiting there. Now, he is considered one of the better coordinators in the NFL and may be on the verge of getting another shot somewhere else where he may be more successful.
  13. I asked a simple, clear question. It wasn't an argument. Of course, your post contained nothing but hyperbole. Not that you noticed.
  14. And, if the Vikings win the Super Bowl, will you still be crowing about how awful he is?
  15. You may find this interesting. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1695981 Williams was never fired. He walked away.
  16. Why not Marv Levy? Or Bill Polian? Heck, why not stick with the only coach that won a championship Lou Saban? Ralph should've held a gun to his head and forced him to stay. Damn.
  17. Since there is no criteria given, how do we know what the coaches in that list are being evaluated upon -- other than random personal whim? Here are the 32 NFL coaches: Ken Whisenhunt, Mike Smith, John Harbaugh, Dick Jauron, John Fox, Lovie Smith, Marvin Lewis, Eric Mangini, Wade Phillips, Josh McDaniels, Jim Schwartz, Mike McCarthy, Gary Kubiak, Jim Caldwell, Jack Del Rio, Todd Haley, Tony Sparano, Brad Childress, Bill Belichick, Sean Payton, Tom Coughlin, Rex Ryan, Tom Cable, Andy Reid, Mike Tomlin, Norv Turner, Mike Singletary, Jim L. Mora, Steve Spagnuolo, Raheem Morris, Jeff Fisher, Jim Zorn. If we eliminate 1st year coaches we have: Ken Whisenhunt, Mike Smith, John Harbaugh, Dick Jauron, John Fox, Lovie Smith, Marvin Lewis, Eric Mangini, Wade Phillips, Mike McCarthy, Gary Kubiak, Jack Del Rio, Tony Sparano, Brad Childress, Bill Belichick, Sean Payton, Tom Coughlin, Tom Cable, Andy Reid, Mike Tomlin, Norv Turner, Mike Singletary, Jim L. Mora, Jeff Fisher, Jim Zorn. We can push these names into 3 buckets based on how well the team is doing right now. Winners: Ken Whisenhunt, Mike Smith, Lovie Smith, Marvin Lewis, Wade Phillips, Mike McCarthy, Brad Childress, Bill Belichick, Sean Payton, Tom Coughlin, Andy Reid, Mike Tomlin, Mike Singletary, 500 club: John Harbaugh, Jack Del Rio, Gary Kubiak. Losers: Dick Jauron, John Fox, Eric Mangini, Tony Sparano, Tom Cable, Norv Turner, Jim L. Mora, Jeff Fisher, Jim Zorn. To come up with 6 top feeders, let's give nods to coaches leading their divisions: Ken Whisenhunt, Marvin Lewis, Brad Childress, Bill Belichick, Sean Payton, Tom Coughlin. 6. Perfect. To come up with 6 bottom feeders, let's give nods to cellar dwellers first: Dick Jauron, Eric Mangini, Jeff Fisher, Jim Zorn. That's a good start. Now, we're 2 short for a suck 6. Let's see team with the worst scoring offense: add Tom Cable. Let's see, we'll add Norv Turner as the last of the suck 6 since he's on a 2 game losing streak. This is far less ad hoc than just pulling names out of a hat for a truly random list. Probably not as entertaining, but it is based on something as I actually had to look up a couple of stats.
  18. Yes, but C.Biscuit will be among the first out there cheering on the next head coach as the latest great move by his team. You don't know what you are talking about. Personnel is a collaborative effort for every NFL team and the head coach has a say in shaping the direction of the team in terms of players from those brought in to those that leave.
  19. Brad Childress in the bottom 6-pack?
  20. I agree that Edwards doesn't appear to have any leadership qualities nor seem very concerned about winning or losing. OTOH, some of his problems are imposed on him. He plays in a comically simpleminded offensive system; I mean coaches in the 8 and 9 year old league use motion and shifts. The brain-dead Bills "system" puts the entire offense at a supreme disadvantage. His horrendous record against 3-4 defenses is far more likely due to the fact that he can't simply stand there and diagnose the defense pre-snap because the Bills offense does nothing to force the defense to declare anything or work favorable match-ups than it is that he is a retard or that he wasn't prepared for it at all. Of course, just being content to be made to look like a fool isn't exactly the competitive fire one wants to see from their starting QB and that's all on him.
  21. How can anybody credibly grade Rex Ryan's head coaching ability after 6 games?
  22. The ironic part of that list is that the 2 offenses tied for 2nd on the list were - The one QB'd by JP Losman and coordinated by Steve Fairchild - The one QB'd by Trent Edwards and coordinated by rookie OC Turk Schonert All four of those guys are vilified by posters here, yet they are the amongst the success stories for Dick Jauron offenses.
  23. Being a good test taker does not always mean being a good practitioner.
