  1. What? And are you saying this isn't Roman's offense?
  2. Didn't Chan get Kordell to a Pro Bowl? I've always wondered what Chan might have done if he actually worked with a talent like Andrew Luck. Would it be great or does Chan actually need to work with the QBs who step on their own shoelaces coming out of the huddle?
  3. You can say that again. From my viewpoint, it's not easy to defend any of these guys until we see what they can do under Roman. It's not possible to know if last year was a mere blip only in every case or the first signs of some people falling over a cliff.
  4. Your post just brought to mind the article about that prison that was left to rot because it was too expensive to open it and operate it. Apparently, warehousing thousands of people costs money. Sigh.
  5. Buying your own plane tickets gets you only so far apparently.
  6. It doesn't have to be. It's expected or else there will be penalties handed down. It's well understood inside the NFL that you cooperate with the commissioner's requests.
  7. The more important question: Is Mel Kiper still hyping himself via Clausen?
  8. Was Clausen's 40 time really so bad? http://nflcombineresults.com/playerpage.php?f=Jimmy&l=Clausen&i=8455
  9. So that means Cousins will demand a trade. Should the Bills go after him?
  10. I think the tread plate on the Steelers helmet was a good idea. Probably could've spent another 3 minutes with that and done the whole helmet, some color effects, etc. Too many of these are just "super size the logo, rotate, and check done."
  11. Bigger is better school of design.
  12. The point is that the team has 3 excellent DL and some people think it would be a good idea to franchise tag the one that is a part-time player and only one of them that wasn't in the Pro Bowl. It's almost like they don't understand there is a salary cap.
  13. As to franchise tagging him ... isn't the rest of the DL better? If you applied that same idea to the OL, it would be like franchise tagging Henderson or Richardson.
  14. They can look at previous years for the veterans, but I agree that last year's tape isn't going to be all smiles. I can easily see Roman having a Kyle Orton like grimace when he's charting. There was also a difference in the QB position.
  15. It may be more about his arthritic knees after botched surgery than his maturity. Key word in that sentence was "either" as in definition 4 http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/either What the statement means is that there have been a number of Alabama players that were at their very best at Alabama and in Saban's system. When they went to the NFL, the wheels came off. (Trent Richardson is a high-profile example.) So, in addition to his knee problems, Cyrus may just have hit his developmental ceiling. (I'm not saying he has, but he was buried on the bench on a unit that was hugely underperforming.)

  17. We're much better off without Coach Culture Changer.
  18. Uhh, the Falcons were sitting at home during Super Bowl week. As for 100 page threads, this is a message board to discuss football and the Buffalo Bills. If people want to discuss an ongoing NFL investigation and rumors and leaks about cheating by a team participating in the Super Bowl—a team that was already convicted of cheating once—who are you to hypocritically suggest that they can't?
  19. Are you serious? You think this message board has the clout to create "a baseless witch hunt" out of "manipulated false stats" that leads the national news (ABC, NBC, CBS morning and evening news), talk shows, talk by every water cooler in America for days running? Interesting. BTW, you found the wrong thread. This isn't the 100+ pager.
  20. Maybe they plan to borrow one of those robots from Fox...
  21. To be fair, there is a tradition in the Super Bowl of the refs not really enforcing the rules very tightly. I saw WRs well downfield towing a DB like a parachute, lineman tackling defensive lineman, etc. None of it was called. And Belichick knows this as certain as he wears a hoodie.
  22. Exactly the point. Someone else mentioned the wasted time-outs. That doesn't happen if the plays are getting down to the field on time and the play-caller is dialed in on what he wants to exploit. I tend to think that entire last drive could be used as evidence that Bevell was feeling a ton of pressure. Did Lockette run a perfect route? I don't see anyone arguing that he did. The guy is a converted track star with limited experience. (18 catches in his entire career.) And. of course, they had put that play on film. And Belichick had prepared his secondary for that exact play. That's the definition of being outcoached.
