  1. Of course, it never snows in Denver; the girls wear nothing but bikinis year round. Denver is also known as the hottest party town north of Rio de Janeiro, in fact. Which is really what you want to attract talent that is focused on and committed to their profession.
  2. I'm sure Tom Donahoe has been spreading the word amongst his friends in media that the Buffalo Bills are a first-class, A-list organization and everyone should jump at the chance to work for Ralph.
  3. Is he smart because he still can't figure out a 3-4 defense or because he still can't get the ball to a wide open WR?
  4. Dummies! They must not know that nobody else has signed him yet.
  5. Is there a more appropriately named QB out there for a team that is cleaning house?!?
  6. Would it really quash anybody's inferiority complex if Sullivan came out and wrote, "I absolutely, positively guarantee based on a seance I just had with Lou Saban that the Bills will sign Mike Shanahan." I mean, he's an idiot, right? As far as the circular logic, the talking heads out there are using it. It boils down to the Bills aren't a good situation, so nobody with any ability would ever want to come to work for the Bills, so therefore the Bills aren't a good situation. Or the corollary to that: The Bills are one of the awful, have-not teams in the NFL, but I like Dick Jauron and thought he was doing a great job, so it was dumb to fire Dick Jauron even though they gave him 4 years and he was a big part of the crew that overhauled the team and left it worse than it was when he started.
  7. The fly in the ointment is that it will be really hard to convince anybody that things are going to change after 50 years. And even if Ralph is willing to change, the stability of the future of the team is uncertain.
  8. Levitre had more tackles than Maybin.
  9. Don't lose too much sleep over it. They coaches have 6 more weeks to polish their resumes. Not new news to some of us, but makes one wonder where those posters that thought it was a great idea to simplify the offense even more at the time of Schonert's firing went. Not quite a total coincidence that they finally use a little motion and some 10, 11 personnel and have the longest play in franchise history.
  10. I did see Trent pointing something out in Golf Digest to Gibran on the sidelines.
  11. Makes the Lions the Kings of the Lake Erie Follies.
  12. He and McCargo combined for 2 tackles.
  13. Well, if they ran commercials before and after every kick of the ball, like the NFL, soccer would take a very long time.
  14. If Dick had listened to Ralph at the end of 08 and fired Schonert at that time, and then gone out and hired an experienced group of offensive assistants (assuming he could -- which is unlikely IMO), he might still have a job now. If he had done that, he might have been advised that dumping the entire OL in the "make or break" year was sheer insanity. He might have gotten a better evaluation of his QB position and the team might have emphasized getting a credible backup. He might not have been advised that going to a gimmick no-huddle with young players and an offense that had never played together was ridiculous. Instead, he held Ralph to the letter of his contract, told him he had ultimate authority over his staff, and that he wasn't going to dismiss anyone; basically, that the staff wasn't the problem.
  15. See ya, T.O. Thanks for a play, though.
  16. A little slack might be in order, though. Heavy Fewell hasn't been a head coach at any level before. Heck, he's an inexperienced coordinator for that matter.
  17. Is it time to break out the blow up dolls as our OL?
  18. Well, it was fun to watch at any rate. Unlike arguing with someone that Trent Edwards (or Dick Jauron) will "get it" if somone would only grant them another 5 or 10 seasons...
  19. So that's what a train wreck is supposed to look like!
  20. I thought they lost quite respectably.
  21. Well, that sucks.
  22. Meanwhile, Matt Stafford leads a comeback victory.
  23. Jauron had lots of emotion. On Fridays.
