  1. I was watching the game and missed the comments. The announcers were too busy saying they couldn't see anything. I guess they are blind.
  2. Let's see, teams with running games and solid defenses 2-0 in the AFC playoffs.
  3. Am I the only one that thought Willis converted that 2-pt conversion?
  4. TOUCHDOWN! 21-0! 1st quarter... I haven't seen this sort of playoff game since ... Jimmy and the Fish!
  5. Richard Seymour might have been a help.
  6. Picked off!!!
  7. The key to having a good running game is having a good OL. You can't run the ball consistently with trash up front.
  8. The "best division in the NFL" is taking it on the chin here.
  9. What happened to the "tuck rule"?
  10. The Jets also do not have a great QB. He may be great someday, but they cannot ask him to win games.
  11. Wrong question. First, one doesn't just draft some quota of lineman and stop. Players may not develop, may get hurt, and will eventually move on. Depth is what separates elite teams from teams that have one good year before falling back to mediocrity. Second, one doesn't just draft a QB to check the "franchise QB" box on the wish list. The list of QBs that turned out to be busts is long and well documented. Reaching for a player just to check the QB box is how a team ends up with a JP Losman and sets itself back for 6 or 7 seasons.
  12. The Chiefs were last in the playoffs in 2006. The Browns were last in the playoffs in 2002. The Texans, as you said, have never been to the playoffs. The Lions and Bills are the only non-expansion teams in the NFL to not make the playoffs in the decade from 2000-2009. The Bills last playoff win was in 1995. Lions: 1991; Chiefs: 1993. The expansion Browns and Texans have never won a playoff game. The Browns franchise that became the Ravens won a Super Bowl in 2000, a playoff game last year, and is in the playoffs this year. Teams that have been in the playoffs 6 or more times this decade? Colts, Ravens, Steelers, Patriots, Packers, Eagles, and Giants. The Titans, Bucs and Seahawks have been 5 times.
  13. Ah. Stalking me? Need a diaper change or something?
  14. I'm not your son. But, you are clearly yet another newbie tough guy. Go have your mom wipe your nose now igmo.
  15. There's an understatement. He drops the ball down to his thigh pad on almost every throw. I agree that the mechanics could be worked on and corrected. Also, he has to learn how to play in a pro system. Running over everybody isn't really an option for an NFL QB. The problem if the Bills took him would be that they would probably rush him into the fray to sell tickets as they have little to nothing else as a marketing hook (modulo a name head coach). That approach didn't go so well with Losman and Edwards.
  16. Everyone knows a policeman's wife is above reproach. Ask Jodie Sweetin. As a homework assignment, read up on Malcolm X. Maybe you'll learn something.
  17. What's a sure fire way to payback someone that stood you up? Charge them with a crime that allegedly happened weeks ago. A lot of birthdays yesterday, Simon.
  18. Wayne Fontes. Joe Gibbs. Rich Kotite. Jim Mora. Jim Mora. Butch Davis. Gunther Cunningham. Dennis Erickson. Jerry Glanville. Kevin Gilbride. Dan Henning. Jim Haslett. David Shula. Nick Saban.
  19. I had that thought as well. Especially given the flirtation. I also wonder who was flirting with whom exactly in public. Sort of interesting that one party was married and filling the complaint, no? Just saying. (Don't be a Travis "Broken Zipper" Henry, Marshawn.)
  20. Phillip Rivers did nothing but win and had a terrible throwing motion coming out of college. Tebow is quite similar in that. Rivers got a chance to be developed sitting behind Brees and has become an excellent NFL QB. We will see what the future holds for Tebow, but for him to be a successful NFL QB, he'll need some time to develop and correct his windup-from-the-ankles style softball pitch delivery. If he is drafted by a desperate team and thrown straight into the feeding frenzy, he could have anywhere from a Vince Young sort of career to being a bust. If they convert him to another position, then the argument is moot -- he won't be a successful QB or an unsuccessful QB.
  21. It's OK. They're in the -8th percentile. [sic]
  22. 21 years, 3 months, and 30 days from today, January 9th, 2010. Here is the correct formula: (21 . 365) + 5 + (2 . 31) + 30 + 30 = 7792. Since 7792 does not equal 7786.
  23. I think Simon may be right. You were born yesterday.
  24. Maybe she was referring to these... http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=2667532&...TC-RSSFeeds0312 http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/05/05/dropout.r...tudy/index.html
