  1. McCoy might fit this profile. Didn't he announce that he wouldn't play until he feels 100%? Corollary: do backs with the NFL mileage he has ever feel 100%?
  2. The Browns just should have traded up for a WR.
  3. That would be the mauve uniforms with the nickel and sea foam alligator patterns.
  4. As a follow-up to the question posed in the thread title: Would anyone notice?
  5. You aren't pining for the Fitzpicks era?
  6. The press conference is on nfl.com for those interested. It is quite a departure from their standard operating procedure. Mayhew was one of those in-house moves that came after the Millen and Marinelli spectacular flame-out. I remember several NFL types really scratching their heads as to his hiring, since the 0-fer season was about as loud and clear a message as one could possibly entertain that some objectivity and perspective on how the show was being managed were sorely needed. That 0-fer team wasn't just unlucky; it was a world-class dumpster fire. Some of the plays I recall seeing almost looks like a Hollywood movie, some slapstick comedy gone awry. Defenders literally running away from the ball-carrier, etc. Lake Erie does seem to be the bottom of the NFL landscape...
  7. Speaking of meatheads, does anybody else think Jim Tomsula is the picture next to the definition in the dictionary? His explanation of the Kaepernick benching was ...
  8. That's a relief. For some reason, I was thinking the uniforms might be more of a highlighter pink color.
  9. Losing to the Bills has been the Kiss of Death for someone on the staff of every team we have beaten. The Bills are making some serious waves this year.
  10. Fortunately, we play the AFC South. Sucksville. Speaking of which when will Pagano be fired?
  11. Haven't driven in your neck of the woods in a while, but, yes, the roads are infamously bad.
  12. It seems a bit ironic that she fired Whisenhunt for the offense regressing and then promoted an offensive coach to replace him. MM "benched" Tom Clements as his playcaller. TC is now calling the plays for the Packers and their offense has clearly regressed statistically. Indeed, the recycling process is quite interesting.
  13. Can he play QB?
  14. Do you mean Hopkins or Bryant? Hopkins is tearing it up this year in the stats. #FantasyNumbers
  15. Even a bunter has to move the bat a little. Maybe more like a bat-holder told to just stand there and collect a walk. "Whatever you do, son, don't swing the bat!"
  16. It isn't completely true that he was never hurt. I distinctly recall him hobbling around in a game with his leg wrapped. On the other hand, he didn't get a total knee replacement either.
  17. SF had a rather significant coaching change for another thing. As for Cleveland ... well, when Dowell Loggains is the guy pulling the strings on your draft board, your franchise is probably in total disarray. Just saying.
  18. I bet your breakfast tasted better than dirt.
  19. The two bolded points go hand in hand. Every team has injuries. Just take a look at the weekly injury report put out by the NFL. The GM has to build a complete roster that can compensate and compete on the field with the given eventuality that injures will without a doubt happen. Next man up. I'd put some blame on the players here. Maybe the new coaches aren't using them to the best of their abilities, but when it gets right down to it, they simply aren't playing well regardless. Scheme can't cover up players making mistakes and lack of execution.
  20. Tebow time. In related news, the talking heads on NFL radio were talking about the Chiefs and how they were cursed to have the top draft pick, could've really used a QB, but it was 2013 and there were no QBs in the class worth taking at all. Ouch.
  21. Well, since these two have to work together, it strikes me as saying the heads side of the coin is better at its job than is the tails side.
  22. Nobody would be expecting it.
  23. I wouldn't say I'd rather have kept Fitzpicks, but getting rid of him to clear the deck for the EJM era has shown itself to be ... a real Nix moment.
  24. It does get confusing. At the start of the season, there is a lot of talk about playoffs. By the end of each season, there is talk about how we're rebuilding from square zero with a bare cupboard again. Part and parcel of being a Bills fan.
