Sisyphean Bills

Have to disagree that Trent has ever shown he could be a top 10 QB. He hasn't. The most he has shown is that he isn't JP Losman. That's it. Top 10 QBs in this league are the leaders of their team and take ownership, can throw to open WRs, pitch 300 yard games, and (most importantly) score points to win games. Trent doesn't and can't do any of that.

It isn't possible to fully assess with absolute assurity until the results are in; but, we will find out, won't we? Chan is an experienced NFL offensive coach and has had some success in this league as an OC. It will be interesting to see how much of last year's useless offense was terrible coaching vs. horrible players.

Pretty much. Calling Trent a leader is like calling your pet rock "energetic". It's inane.

None of the QBs are safe. None of them have anything much more than walk-on status.

Besides the other main reason, which was the offense was amateurish and could barely move the ball, let alone score any points. Other teams were typically quite content to pound the rock for the game because they knew the Bills offense was no threat at all.

Not quite "all". Some of us gave credit where credit was due.

There is really no evidence that Stroud is going to be a great DE. He's a 3-technique DT, long in the tooth, and overpaid to be trying to reset his career at a new position. Frankly, his career at this point is following the same trajectory as Langston Walker's did last year. Walker has plenty of "he was good there for a game", "I like him", "he'll be fine" comments to try and ease the doubts, but in the end he was simply discarded by the side of the road.

It's pretty obvious that they have placed their chips on the Gailey factor (and Spiller). It's not far fetched at all that Gailey watched tape of the Jauron offense and came away with the belief that it was a total cluster!@#$ and utter joke.
