  1. Do you think Overdorf or Brandon took the heat for that? Really? Who was fired and who got promoted? It's not clear at all that his job function has changed one iota, let alone dramatically. The mistake is to assume that because there is a new face in the management structure, that all the pre-existing fiefdoms in a business were turned upside down and blown up. Reality just doesn't work that way. The financial side of the Bills business remained intact with the promotion of Nix to "head of football". Why would it not? The boys are making money for the old man.
  2. So, all that needs to happen is Nix/Gailey say, "We want this guy" and he's a Bill regardless of cost? Where is your evidence? They did very little in free agency and signed no big names or huge contracts. There is no indication whatsoever that the recently promoted Brandon and Overdorf are not still deciding who gets paid what and have been put out to distant pasture never to be heard or seen again.
  3. Nah. I'm not saying give up on him. Dance with who brung ya. But, I'm not standing in line to give him a blow job like some others for his being a bad player who's done zero to prove himself. Sure, he has a chance to be an average player with some major strides. But, he has a ways to go to get there and that's far short (and far more realistic) than being a dominant NFL player.
  4. From the cheery news section of the paper, Brohm hasn't proven he sucks exactly.
  5. Isn't that the problem, especially as it applies to the Bills situation? Jauron left the cupboards pretty bare. The Bills don't have a plate, fork, or knife sure; but, it's not like they can't stand to replace the topless salt shaker, the bent spoon, and the broken bowl that was duct taped together (elegantly to some standards), as well.
  6. Pollyanna, sipping the Kool-Aid, says, "On the bright side, Trentative hasn't proven he can't throw the long strikes with precision. The sample set is too small to draw statistical conclusions from."
  7. Translation: if he is ever matched up 1 on 1 with an offensive lineman defending him, he'll be able to run right past him. A couple of notes: Combine 40 time was before the docs put the rusty screws in his shredded knee. Where it counts, on the field, Hardy couldn't get separation from anyone; he was useless and defenses took him out of the game entirely with a backup defensive back with no help. Trying to sell Hardly as a speed merchant is ejected out of hand as a false start.
  8. Add: The New York City area is very competitive for the sports entertainment dollar and just in general. Ownership there is not going to simply be content with "having a team" and they can't sell long-term survivability on inertia and by being the only ticket in town.
  9. Just wonder what took Mr. Logan so long to realize that the coaching staff was going to get canned.
  10. And, yet Fitzpatpatsack, who is a below average QB, simply outplayed and took the job away from Edwards in the same offense.
  11. I'm suspecting they drafted Moats and Batten because they have less confidence in this eventuality [sic] than some fans.
  12. "Spill her in the end zone." I hope to be hearing that roll off announcers tongues often...
  13. WTF? Do you mean there were players interested in not being embarrassed professionally back then?
  14. Maybe it is just me, but didn't the Bills just "play hardball" with a LT with attitude issues? (Not saying we don't need a LT, but irony is another dish served cold.)
  15. Can we crucify him for his own underachievement? I agree that blasting/praising him based on useless data like W-L record is asinine, but some of us have seen the guy "play" enough to form opinions on his own sizable limitations.
  16. He's too focused on the W-L record (the only tried and true way to evaluate a QB unless you are Bill Walsh apparently) to notice.
  17. Are you really this dense? Bill Walsh didn't have the patent on player evaluation. I didn't coach the Bucs, but what's obvious is obvious. Keep saying that Steve Young sucked though, it really helps prove your point that you know what you are typing about. Not.
  18. I thought his name was spelled "Claussssen".
  19. It seems obvious that a line of Wang, Viagra, The Hard Gardener, Wood, and The Stiff are going to open lots of holes for Spiller.
  20. How dare they? A handful of these picks will start some games for cryin' out loud!
  21. I don't know about every idiot saying "Lee sucks". Lots of idiots here still think Lee "Straight Line Speed" Evans is one of the true elite and top 5 or 10 WRs in the sport and carpet bomb the board with excuses as to why he's never shown it. ("What do you expect, man? He was double covered all day!")
