  1. Green must be in some alliance, as it was Meredith who took one for the tribe.
  2. Well, they moved him to OLB, so he's great now. Even better if the coach drops acid before watching the film.
  3. The Bills would still manage an F- draft. (I kid. I think. )
  4. Maybe. Just reporting what I heard. I don't really have much of an issue with believing that Buddy doesn't play the NFL poker game well. Edit: I mean the guy "joked" around that he wasn't going to do anything but sleep when the free agency period started. Does that sound like a top executive that's doing everything possible to build his team? Not to me. In fact, it's pretty disrespectful. Given the results, it probably wasn't even a joke.
  5. An NFL insider mentioned that there were teams that he knew for a fact had approached the Bills around the time of the draft feeling them out about a trade. That the Bills front office blew them off (in a sort of abrasive way apparently) and said they were in no way interested in talking about Lynch. He added, that Marshawn's value then, with several teams interested and the chance to get him before training camp, would have definitely been higher than what the Bills ultimately got. In Buddy, we trust.
  6. This isn't news. It's just obvious. For whatever reason, the new braintrust (of football) decided this past off-season not to self-scout and to re-evaluate the roster after the season started. It's been a throw away season since they decided to take naps instead of add to the roster.
  7. Can we give it a grade yet? F- seems about right.
  8. Wild guess: they cut Spencer Johnson.
  9. If he'd restructure his deal, they could pedal him. But to do that, someone would have to wake up Buddy.
  10. The fatalist take: We sucked with him. We'll suck without him.
  11. Truth: You could have listed just about any round and it would've looked bad.
  12. Heard they were offered more for Lynch in April, but they weren't listening to offers.
  13. How many games did they win with the 3-back rotation? The Bills need a ton of new players if the course they are on is ever going to pay off. It makes no sense to lay there and watch the drifting clouds. The Bills front office waited too long and could've probably gotten more for Lynch (his value would have been higher to a team if they could've brought him in to their systems earlier), but it's not like we don't know this FO has a "few" issues.
  14. Let the estate sale begin...
  15. Some fans don't seem to truly appreciate just how bad the Bills OL really is. Hell, some fans were touting Jamon Meredith as our next franchise LT.
  16. Well, the Bills can pull another Cornell Green and sign Bouman now.
  17. I think you mean Bob Sanders IR-like.
  18. Listen to the Ryan Fitzpantsdown post-game. He hints rather strongly on the point some of us have known about Evans since the day he was drafted. Going deep is "Lee's thing". They try to get him the ball "in other ways" but it just never seems to work out. In other words, Evans just isn't all that at the other things and doesn't play the quick game well enough against most teams best corners so they can't get him the ball. Fitzpantsdown even explains that other teams consistently roll high coverage Lee's way, so as to take away his A game, the deep routes, as well. Do other teams know this? You bet your ass, they do. That's how and why they erase him from games.
  19. There is no magic wand, folks. This season is about taking lumps and lots of them. Stick with the plan and see if anyone on the roster can play the scheme, figure it out, and improve. If not, turn the page and move on. We don't need a few more Jauron-like years of wheel spinning and eeking out just enough wins to fool some fans (and eventual GMs) into thinking we're almost there. I'd rather Gailey has the tape in hand to tell the front office people, "Look at this stiff, what the !@#$ where you thinking extending him?" and going over their heads if need be.
  20. Ralph was part owner of the Lions before the Bills, you know.
  21. It would be nice for once to get rid of the Matt Millen approach to team building. The Bills have spent a good portion of high resources on RBs, KRs, WRs, and DBs over the past decade all while letting the OL and defensive front fall apart. It looks so terrible now because Gailey wants a team that will control the line of scrimmage and he doesn't have the players. It should be mentioned that they have wasted a lot of picks on DL as well. Maybin, Ellis, McCargo, Anderson, Kelsay, Denney, Flowers, Moore... the only top 100 pick on DL that amounted to more than a backup quality player was Schobel. Whoever scouts DL for this team should be fired posthaste.
  22. Same as they were in March. (Although we have depth at KR now.)
