  1. Ignore Robo. He's joiqueing.
  2. Seems like about 10,000.
  3. Look at where they line up instead. Kelsay is playing mostly DE (other than the odd "wrinkle" when he flails around) and Maybin has played nothing but DE since pre-season (he's equally feeble on either side of the formation). You must've missed the reports after the game that he played great again. (I agree, btw: he sucks.)
  4. Maybe it is cheaper to move the game, refunds tickets, etc. than to mail a big box of long underwear.
  5. The trouble with invisible players is that you never know when they aren't there.
  6. Why only 10? Why not 15? 20? Maybe 36.7128?
  7. It was clear that some people were suggesting Hardy was "set for life" after making $1M and change after taxes in his brief, uneventful career in Buffalo. It was equally obvious that others were suggesting he may not be quite the investment genius that the first claim implies and he may in fact have blown some of his bonus money as many athletes do. Have you ever met one of these kids? Do you think the ones that leave school early are astute at long-term investments and are thinking that their NFL career could be over instantly? I don't see a lot of James Hardy articles out there period. Other than yourself, for the sake of arguing from a negative premise, how big of an audience is there for a fringe, ex-NFL player who caught 5 balls a year for a couple of years? Yeah, there is no link to the article you want. Since it doesn't exist, you claim __________.
  8. Yes, and for the simple reason that he already does.
  9. We should still give Maybin 3 or 4 more years.
  10. It does nicely to discredit any mythical spew that professional athletes are immune to financial difficulties. As intended and nothing more. Would you post a link to your own bank account? Just wondering.

  12. Vikings giving away their home games. What a shame.
  13. It looks like he got a little over $2M. Like you said, after you deduct taxes, paying the agent, etc., we're talking a million and change. Now, a million doesn't go as far as it used to. The big house, pool service, boob jobs for the porn stars, and drugs and alcohol don't all come free.
  14. I don't think there is any question whatsoever that Stew Barber was playing hard-ball with Cousineau and felt that Cousineau would play for whatever he decided to offer him. The Bills have used this mode of "negotiation" in other cases as well. Some fans even think it's commendable.
  15. No to both accounts. Bo Jackson told the Bucs not to draft him. They drafted him anyway, so he flipped them a bird and said he'd rather play baseball than play for Tampa Bay. Cousineau decided his only choice was to go to the CFL because the Bills treated him so poorly. They didn't even call the guy after they drafted him, low balled him, etc. Cousineau's agent was ready to fly with him to Buffalo, but they learned at the airport that the Bills had provided only a ticket for Cousineau. Then, after Cousineau's introductory press conference, a key team executive didn't show for a dinner meeting. Finally, when Buffalo's contract offer came in low, at $1.2 million over five years, Cousineau accepted a competing offer—$850,000 for three years from the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL. http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2010/04/21/tom-cousineau-reflects-on-being-chosen-one-in-1979/ http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1027384/index.htm
  16. Bo Jackson. Tom Cousineau. Ernie Davis. Angelo Bertelli.
  17. Is this a +1 for the scouting department? The Bills spent 2 picks on the OL late in the draft (Modrak's Wheelhouse) and the Bills have been using street free agents to round out the OL all season. The unathletic Calloway didn't even make this roster.
  18. The Bills have a stronger strength of schedule than Detroit or Cincinnati so would draft after them. Projecting, the Bills also have the strongest upcoming schedule as well, so losing ground to move up in the draft is unlikely (edit: assuming the standings stay the same). If the Bills can catch the Cardinals or Broncos with another win, they'd lose another draft position (edit: again, assuming everything else stays the same). Edit: In fact, I believe the Bills have the highest SoS of any team in the NFL, so they'll pick last in whatever W-L group they finish in (assuming that is still the case at the end of the season). A 6-10 finish would let them draft 18th as of today.
  19. It's Canada, man. Summer is a warm wind for a few hours between blizzards.
  20. Or he left them at the Liberty Complex with a sign "Take Me" and no one stepped up.
  21. BTW, this should be one of the poster boy examples for why drafting for positions by needs can leave you with just plain nothing. Scout 1: Well, the offense he was in was pure sandlot. Looks like some background questions... Scout 2: Look at how tall he is! He's like a giraffe on stilts!
  22. What will he use for insulation? Ectomorphs lack body fat.
  23. They'll work the game with cardboard microphones and cameras.
  24. Should've given him 6 more years to develop, eh?
  25. I heard he got a job at Starbucks. He gets the coffee beans off the top shelf.
