Somehow, if this rumor is true, then a team that panic picks a punter when they need a WR and there are plenty of small, fast WRs still on the board does little to inspire confidence. Wasn't Mularkey the guy that gave the green light to trading up for and drafting JP Losman based on the fact there wasn't any QBs in Aaron Rodgers draft class worth picking? Someone posted a link earlier of him throwing the ball with his eyes closed.

The big negative on him was that he showed lack of recognition. Scouts don't want to see a guy biting on everything and relying on hustle to make up for it.

The deal with a deep threat is that it really has to be a threat. There was a huge difference between Bob Hayes and Dwight Stone "Hands", though both were world class sprinters. Last year's passing attack featured getting the ball out of Fitzpatrick's hand in a heartbeat or less. Given that, even if Graham can catch, how often are they going to 7 step, pat the ball and launch a cruise missile down the hashes anyway?

JayRon Hosley flunked the drug test as well. He got drafted in the 3rd. Burfict had an extraordinary flame out. On field problems, off field problems, terrible combine, carcinogenic interviews... the Bengals might've been the only team that called.
