  1. Marv Levy was long gone by the time the Maybin pick happened. He was a delegator, but was involved in the blueprint of trying to build the Bills in the mold of what Polian had done in Indianapolis only without Peyton Manning. That last bit, without Peyton Manning, led both men to the exit door. When Levy stepped aside, Brandon did assume some of the football duties and this was the time Maybin was drafted. He, Modrak, and Jauron were all at the combine and all played a role in that awful pick. I listened to each of them gush profusely about Maybin in their euphoria after the draft. (By the way, Buddy Nix was even in the building at the time of the Maybin pick.)
  2. Trent Edwards doesn't play for the Bills anymore.
  3. Yet oddly enough, Buddy Nix also brought in Thigpen.
  4. Wasn't the whole 3-4 switch supposed to help Maybin? As far as dedication and memory loss: as a well paid Buffalo Bill, he was asked to bulk up during the off-season and reported after the strike having actually lost weight. His excuse being to the effect that he could add and lose weight easily so it was no big deal. Not soon after the saloon doors hit him in the backside.
  5. Good kid. Hope he can stay healthy this year.
  6. I don't think he is eligible as he's accrued a year.
  7. You didn't know it was a 2-way street?
  8. I'm sure he'd take more of your money if you insist.
  9. Be happy with Gilmore.
  10. In Moats case, I'm not sure he's really a 4-3 LB. He was a tweener and a project and his skills seemed to always be best utilized as an edge rusher (like a poor man's Shawne Merriman). In fact, the switch back to the 4-3 after the epic fail of the 3-4 transition could still present more problems at LB as about half of the LBs in the 3-4 on the roster were miscast DL, guys that will be going back to their more natural positions one hopes.
  11. Except some PS guys have may have played in a game or even wore pads on a game day.
  12. I'd go with Jasper over either of those two.
  13. I know it was a defensive piece, but seeing Fitzpatrick get ball after ball batted back in his face was sort of bittersweet.
  14. I wonder if any of that changes Gailey's mind the guy will fall apart if used in games?
  15. Too busy analyzing the 1968 draft.
  16. Did you forget an emoticon? I do hope this was sarcasm.
  17. Bully for you.
  18. They've never been on HBO's Hard Knocks. Case closed.
  19. Totally. Edwards' 5-2 defense in a passing league was a recipe for failure from the very beginning. Like someone else posted in this thread, Kelsay isn't physically dominant at DE and can be taken out of plays at that position. He doesn't lose every battle on every down. Bottom line is the Bills were happy enough with him as a starter going forward to pull out ALL the stops and go after Mario Williams.
  20. Sorry, the bolded made me laugh. He's been caught out of position plenty, particularly when asked to play in coverage, and does make mistakes. OTOH, he has made some good plays too.
  21. For a second, I thought you meant cleared waivers.
  22. You can't really fault him (or Spencer Johnson) for being told to play LB. It was a disaster however. Before the George Edwards train wreck, he was a decent DE in Jauron's defense. Not a superstar, but decent.
