  1. "They" have never seen a sunrise. All kidding aside, the players said that the Patriots just kept running the same 3 plays over and over. And they just stayed in the same defense down after down. They said they were prepared for Wes Welker and the Gronk. But, it is clear to everyone that there was a coaching failure. Wannstedt simply refused to adapt to the circumstances and stuck with what wasn't working to the tune of historic futility. If he's falling asleep at the wheel, then somebody needs to step up and call the defense. And quickly.
  2. So the take away is that people that settle for 3rd or 4th in the AFC East year in and year out and are happy drafting in the top 12 every year are secretly/subconsciously elated and merry. It's not just settling for inferiority, it's actually a thrill ride. PS: I was one of the few people after this last debacle that posted here and suggested that some of the Bills problems might be correctable, btw. The thought was scoffed and laughed at, but I did and do believe some of the coaching failures can be fixed. I'm not suggesting that it is likely however.
  3. If it ain't workin', stick with it.
  4. How are the Saints doing with Brees but without their coach again?
  5. Anyone want to chime in on the job of QB guru David Lee at the quarter mile pole? So far, I'm not seeing the guru sauce at the position.
  6. I think he meant Scott. Couldn't have meant any of the LBs on the sidelines.
  7. Not to mention Moorman was actually good at his job this decade.
  8. Well they tried the swoon at the start of the season and the end of the season, so The Plan maybe a swoon in the middle.

  10. There is no doubt that having a stud at QB can make up for a lot of other deficiencies on a football team. That is precisely why it is fascinating that this Bills regime has spent nothing more than a single 7th round draft pick on the position in 3 years. Although, I guess we can add another future pick for the privilege of carrying Tarvaris Jackson as the 3rd QB. Interesting that after being with the team a month, it is announced that he will "stay the third QB" behind Tyler Thigpen.
  11. Some Texans fans have said that they felt the defense improved last year after he went on IR.
  12. The point about pre-season was and still is that the starters were not executing well, to put it mildly. In the second half today, the concerns that some of us had from the pre-season showed up in spades. It was a debacle. While easy to spout baseless rhetoric about how it would be easy to turn it all around, it really is possible that the Bills do start playing together. Who knows? Maybe Wannstedt will develop a sense of urgency. Maybe.
  13. He was never what was wrong.
  14. Touchy are we? Well, I'll be more direct. I think the Bills will be steamrolled by the 49ers. Your point about Smith being no Brady being as meaningless as your point about professional football players flipping their switches and out intensity-ing the opposition.
  15. Mario is actually out in a blind somewhere. What you saw on the field was a blow up doll.
  16. "Chin up, Chan. I, for one, want you coaching in this division forever, man."
  17. Just flip a switch.

  19. I appreciated Wannstedt more when he was coaching Miami.
  20. Should have signed an extension after the Browns game.
  21. Maybe the "dopes" had some good reasons behind what they were spewing.
  22. It's not what you know, it's who you know.
