  1. Might want to wear a diaper then.
  2. I guess the thought that this would be the season the Bills would dodge any and all injuries has vanished down the drain then. The good news is that anybody can play the Wannstedt scheme. Just lace up your rollerskates and see how far the offense pushes you. Good times!
  3. This wouldn't be the first time Chan has stuck with an obviously subpar QB.
  4. Sorry, but that line dings your cred. Have you actually seen the Bills defense?
  5. The Seahawks split the reps 3 ways all through camp and into the pre-season. They gave all 3 QBs "a shot" to show what they could and could not do. In Tarvaris' case, he did not see action in the pre-season games because, according to Pete Carroll, they wanted to see what the other guys could do (and had already played Jackson in games). On the other hand, when they went after Flynn, they tipped their hand that they considered Jackson just a stop-gap plan at QB, one to which they weren't going to hitch their wagon. With the emergence of Wilson as a guy they could play even though he was a rookie, they could cut the string with Jackson without worrying about the backup depth too much.
  6. Which just goes to show that he doesn't get the scheme yet.
  7. I fully realize that it was a negative premise. That's why I used "seems". VY may well indeed get another shot if some team has a rash of injuries at the position, for example. I'm not saying that will never happen. That said, I think you are grossly overestimating Young's market value by saying he is "high profile". The Bills are not the only team in the NFL with QB issues. Nor are they the only team that might need a capable backup QB. BTW, the Eagles let him go because they felt Trent Edwards (yikes!) was more suited to the backup role.
  8. Good post, Hope. One of the offense's big problems is that the defense can't get off the field or stop anything. In the second halves of the last two games, they couldn't even slow the opponent down to somewhere in the vicinity of the speed limit even. When the defense is giving up scoring drives like free samples on the corner, any and every offense is behind the 8-ball. Not only are their possessions limited in number, but they have to score a touchdown every time they get the ball. Unless one is playing the Bills defense of 2012, that's just not going to happen. That said, Fitzpicks does look to have regressed. He's late on his throws, had nothing on some of those passes, and his accuracy looks as bad as it ever has. Add that he's very streaky and is now making bad decisions and it is not a happy situation. One could tell from Stevie Johnson's body language how frustrated things are in the passing game.
  9. It may be a little difficult to evaluate players in this defensive scheme where everyone is playing to his weaknesses.
  10. Don't forget the kickoff specialist.
  11. Is Wannstedt's Johnson's scheme a good fit for anybody in today's NFL?
  12. Full Maybinization is achieved if someone suggests he be converted to TE. Consider it done. Check.
  13. So, the answer to garbage is to have them dump more garbage in your front yard. Got it.
  14. 31 other teams seem to agree that he was.
  15. Yes, clearly. I just meant the season isn't over yet and things might change. But again, we saw no evidence of that.
  16. There is an elephant in the room with regards to getting rid of Wannstedt. They backed out of their original plan in order to install Wannstedt in the first place. To cut Wannstedt off at the knees now would be an admission to the Detroit brass that they were horribly wrong, have no plan, and have screwed the pooch royally. The utterly inept and record breaking bad performance of the defense is really the sound of the Bills getting back on the coaching carousel. This thing will have to get a ton better in a hurry and today showed no indications of that happening at all.
  17. Yep. Magents is what it looked like. Even guys in the back 7 were wired to their blockers and looked like Road Runner running backwards.
  18. The entire DL plays wired to their blockers. I saw Kyle Williams throw off a blocker once, but for what many were hyping as the best d-line going into the season, it's simply surreal how underperforming they are.
  19. I've seen him drop a couple of TDs already this season.
  20. Yes, they blitzed. It was completely and totally ineffective, but they did try it.
  21. Is Braylon Edwards considered a physical limitation?
  22. Would they fire Gailey and promote Wannstedt to interim? Yuck.
  23. It's the stuff of legends.
