  1. Do we? More importantly does the Nix revamped pro player personnel department? Does anyone want to make an argument that the Bills are getting good football value on their Subpar Mario deal?
  2. Nah. They are just not interested in doing what it takes to be competitive and have the ready excuse of "small market" to blame for their incompetence.

  4. It is a little surreal that the leadership is coming from backups. Kelsay, Choice, for instance.

  7. I'll leave the milk out for you...
  8. If they don't make the playoffs and the defense stays on track to set a record in futility, Chan won't be offered a new contract and Nix may resign to avoid all those telephone calls.
  9. A bad plan is a bad plan, but if you got the right team and they execute as a team, they can achieve the objective. Still, I think this is a combination of a unit playing as 11 individuals and having astonishingly bad plans. You don't sink to historically bad without the whole thing being a flusterduck.
  10. To some degree, yes. Gailey can wring production out of a turnip. While that is good, who wants to walk into a gun fight with a loaded turnip? Suppose instead that Gailey insisted on getting great offensive talent out of the draft, etc. Suppose the Bills could decide to ground and pound it, throw every down, or whatever they wanted and actually execute the offense du jour well? It opens up the playbook. It takes some pressure off. It lets them control the tempo of the game a bit. Instead, the Bills spend most of their time and resources waffling back and forth on the defensive side of the ball and have a guy that can't coach his way out of a paper bag running that side of the show.
  11. Gailey is in the last year of his deal, right?
  12. He can wring offense out of a turnip. Not sure that is how to build a champion though.
  13. Williams is right. The Bills do not have the talent to play completely vanilla passive defense and stop NFL offenses circa 2012. PS: A good question though is what team does?
  14. Were they this bad last year?
  15. The Bills defense is not young and inexperienced. Overall, it is a veteran group. They suck to historic depths and Wannajob installed a new "system" this year, but their struggles are definitely not because they are all rookies.
  16. Maybe because they are professionals, have an iota of pride, and aren't self-centered crybabies that need their mom to change their diaper? Or, maybe not...
  17. Nice rant. BTW, Gailey did not run the option at GT. He ran an offense that looks somewhat similar to what the Bills are doing, including a stumbling, bumbling QB that would screw the pooch at the absolute worst times.
  18. Runway 11, cleared for take off...
  19. This could go quite a different way, actually. Say they do win 7 but the defense remains at the bottom of the NFL. Do you really think Ralph is going to sit by with that? Why did they go 3-4? Why did they abandon that to go with this Wannstedt bonehead? If we offer Chan another contract, should we demand he fire Wannstedt? Why wouldn't we? How much money did we spend on that cluster of a D? If I'm Ralph or one of his handlers on the inner circle, I'm none too happy. And if Gailey or Nix is fool enough to try blowing smoke up my ass about it, just getting back to Jauron territory on a soft schedule may not be enough.
  20. The title of this thread cracks me up, but he does outfox himself plenty.
