    The "sign him to the practice squad" argument is maybe too academic. I don't think signing him to the practice squad will ameliorate the PR nightmare like some folks seem to suggest.

    Is the commissioner's exempt list an option here? I've heard it mentioned but I'm not aware of the stipulations. Having him suit up and play seems tone deaf.

    Could not agree more. They wouldn't have drafted him, period, if they knew of this story. It has got to be a sad and infuriating surprise.

    Fair enough. I'm indexing entirely too much on that recent interview he did where he was talking about Tua. His whole demeanor seems like a schtick that would wear thin in a locker room.

    This happened yesterday morning, and we know it's not that serious because he has a chance to play on Friday.

    His rep is as a good offensive mind, but I think a head coaching role is an entirely different beast that he's perhaps unsuited for.

    I agree completely. Ford had the occasional run block but man oh man he couldn't figure out pass blocking. Getting a pick was a nice way to cut our loss.
