  1. It's all dependent on the OLine holding up 🤞🤞
  2. Wouldn't mind if he took his time. I can't see getting the top seed so it's just about being healthy and in form by wild card weekend imo.
  3. I guess some of the reaction is overblown (esp the Josh critiques imo). But I don't know that the main points were. Or at least my main concerns heading into the game. O-line, Dorsey, MLB have been the big question marks. The first looks terrible, the second isn't really knowable because it's preseason (although some of the play designs last night that had no short options gave me bad flashbacks), and the third looks terrible. We have months to get things right, but it's a shame we have to fix roster issues that seemed apparent months ago.
  4. I get that sense too. I don't expect it to happen but it's clear that a lot of folks on this board are done with Shakir.
  5. As seems to be a permanent take over the years, our offensive line will be our limiting factor. After QB, it should be the highest priority. Unreal that the tackle position is in such shambles.
  6. We have a full 6 months until the Superbowl. That's what I've got. Trenches and Dorsey remain my biggest concerns.
  7. Same as it's been for awhile. The team goes as far as the OLine allows. What was it? #1 vs #2 OLine in the SB last year? Multiple plays where 3 (3!) OLinemen looked to be completely turned around by their man. I thought Josh (and Kincaid and Davis) looked pretty good, among a terrible overall starting unit performance... I was most worried about the lack of short options on a number of plays.
  8. What has Shorter done to supplant Shakir? I like his reported work ethic but I haven't heard or seen many flashes. Struggled with separation in the (too few) amount of snaps I've been able to watch.
  9. I admit I was not thinking about today's game. I was thinking a body of work. Am I super high on him? No, but I think he's done enough to be seen as firmly included on the bottom of the roster.
  10. Baffling how people are this down on Shakir. He's flashed enough to make the bottom of the roster. Am I high on him? Not particularly, but it's a stretch to think there's a receiver below him who has shown enough to not just make the roster in addition to Shakir, but to supplant him entirely. I think we keep 6 WRs, and Isabella makes it over shorter. Diggs Davis Harty Sherfield Shakir are safe.
  11. Really disappointing preparedness.
  12. A really hard thing for that young man to deal with. Awful.
  13. Not a good series for him. Looks like a deer in headlights currently.
  14. Gouraige against better talent 🙏
  15. Shorter seems like a redshirt candidate. Those pesky hamstrings...
  16. I think we keep 6 receivers, and Isabella will be #6.
  17. He had a nice little shoulder dip/juke on a route last week. Based on that enormous sample size I think we're got a breakout star and Josh's new favorite weapon in the wings...
  18. I don't think people are ignoring his drops...he's getting a lot of flack about them. I just think he's flashed enough last year and this camp that I'm predicting he's going to make the team.
  19. And some drops....Ateman was the bottom of the roster receiver I was most impressed with. Diggs Davis Sherfield Harty Shakir Isabella. That's my guess for the 53.
  20. Doyle gets an opportunity with this one. Would love to see Gouraige out at RT but I think they want to keep him under wraps on the PS. I don't think Quess makes the team, but this gives him a better shot.
  21. I want to see Gouraige against better competition. I don't think we will, as I half expect the team to be thinking about how to hang on to him without rostering. With the paucity of OLine talent in the league I'm a little worried about him on the practice squad.
  22. Can only be a good thing imo. Hope it continues, and that Josh isn't allergic to calling running plays.
  23. Clearly my caveat of "If I recall correctly" came into play 😂
