Dodson did not inspire confidence. Bernard's hamstring injury is a real bummer. Have to wonder if we're going to be looking at veteran cuts.

I think Shakir has flashed enough to be safely ahead of Shorter and that group. Blocking and receiving. On a totally different note (MLB)...Dodson sure didn't inspire confidence.

I think if Isabella impresses, the last spot will be between him and shorter et al (a few rookies looking good at the bottom of the roster).

I liked what I saw from Andy in the slot. As mentioned above, he's not a returner. If he keeps playing well - and we keep 6 WRs - I think he has a shot.

Gouraige played LT, and I think has been practicing there. I've been hoping to see him give RT a shot, but they might be thinking about Dawkins depth. He was LT in college.

Having rewatched the game....Gouraige might be my standout of the game. He looked very good out there. Really hope he can get to compete earlier in the game, and I hope we can find a way to hang on to him if he continues to play this way.

I liked a few of Isabella's routes in the slot later in the game. I think he has potential as a slot receiver but it's a tough roster to crack. I really want to see Gouraige at RT, and I hope Bernard gets healthy fast.

I don't know if he'll be poached. A couple bad drops. I also am wondering where Shorter was.

As with last year, my prediction is we go as far as the OLine will allow. I don't like the depth at all and RT is an obvious issue. It's really too bad. I'm hoping against hope that something crazy happens like Gouraige is actually good and gets a shot to show it (lol), or that we manage to add a veteran in a trade or during cuts who is a solid starter. I wouldn't bet on either unfortunately.

I find it really interesting that some outlets reporting Dodson was perhaps the scrimmage standout...while others had Bernard as their top performer. Let's hope that bodes well.

Like others, I'm very interested to see how he holds up in pass pro.

Waiting til 4 is a real pain in the ass for us junkies.

My summertime completely irrational hope is that Gouraige gets a shot to show whether he can hang with the 2s and 1s. A rookie tackle flashing in practice is intriguing.

I'd like to see some resilience from this team, mid-game. I think we have a tendency to have a good day or bad day, but it would be nice to see us turn around a bad first half. Arguably they did it against the bears last year after a slow start but it's something we'll need to be able to do against good teams.

Says Dodson and Spector split reps? Thought it was reported differently elsewhere.

Reports have varied to say the least. But it's only been one day of pads. Man RT is important to the season.

I'm counting Bernard out based on too-early reports and too-harsh size judgements. Which means Spector is maybe the only "exciting" choice. It's fun to route for some of these guys during the summer lol.

I don't think much on sherfield today other than hearing that he was shut down by Dane (in early 1x1s? Can't recall). Would be a big boost if he can add something reliable to this team...

I think on other teams, Elam might be further along in his learning curve. We have other viable options here which seems to have led to a more gradual approach with him. I'd love to see him get tons of playing time early in the season. Nothing like learning by doing.

Would be great to have a reliable RT on the roster, but I'm not sure we do. It's a shame neither Brown nor Doyle inspire much confidence.
