  1. Fair, but it's worth recalling that those (1) still take up a share of a finite amount of offensive plays/QB targets, and (2) he's such a physical presence during RAC that they wanted to manufacture touches for him.
  2. McDaniels in Denver lol. Drafted a bust CB.
  3. I do too. I know I know, I'm a big voice in this room.
  4. I will root for whoever we get because I'm a Bills fan. Right now, here's how i'm feeling about some of the first round WR prospects: Excited about: MHJ Nabers Odunze Legette Uncertain: Thomas Jr (higher in this category) Franklin (higher in this category) Mitchell (lowest in this category) Not who I'd choose: Worthy Coleman Some names after the first round who id be excited about include McConkey (could easily go in first), Wilson, Pearsall, Thrash, Rice (it wouldn't surprise me if we're high on him; good size and blocking ability+willingness)... A very exciting draft. It's been awhile since I've been as eager for it to arrive.
  5. You're right, he wasn't. But it was a huge issue and wasn't just the dropped passes.
  6. I know it, but Josh is also far more effective with separators than contested ball specialists. Coleman can be a good player and not be ideal for JA.
  7. Coleman doesn't strike me as the best fit for Allen, at all. Give me separators please.
  8. And it was clear the coaches didn't trust him. We were coaching around his kicking. He has to be significantly better than last year or it's going to cost us.
  9. This about sums it up. Anything more than a 4th (and flipping firsts) and I'm out the trade.
  10. Wish I felt more confident about Bass. I am worried about his mental game, but not much we can do but hope I guess.
  11. #3 is a big overpay - I hope we don't do that. 5/6/7 get us in a salary situation that I think Beane is hesitant to sign up for.
  12. Not enough evidence of a whole route tree.
  13. Agree. I think #4 on most WR boards has huge variance.
  14. It's hard to be mad at Thomas Jr. provided we don't pay a premium to move up for him (more than a 4th on top of swapping firsts). But his tape is way too heavy on a single fly route, and he hasn't shown much else in the few games where he seemed to be asked to do more. Amazing physical traits, but he's far from a lock to me. Id be just as happy with legette, and if we can get him without moving up so much the better. Neither of the Texas receivers' tape gives me confidence in them. It's a crap shoot and I'm no guru, but it's just how I feel after finally getting around to watching all their targets.
  15. In what world would anyone wish we traded for Diontae Johnson? Boredom incarnate on the board.
  16. Agree. I don't want us to draft Mitchell Worthy or Coleman.
  17. MHJ nabers and odunze are the only players for whom a trade-up makes sense. Even so, if we do so and they are not perennial elite NFL WRs and quickly, we've mortgaged some serious draft capital with implications. It's a real risk.
  18. This is a better way to say what I was trying to. If Shakir can find openings beforehand similar to what drove Beasley's effectiveness, he'll really take off (and if the drops of yesteryear don't return). He's a good player (my definition of having arrived) and I hope he reaches the potential implied by this thread.
  19. Fair enough. Ignoring prospects, I still think trading our 2024 and 2025 2nd rounders to move up in the 2nd is tough to fathom unless it's at the very top of the round. Hard to see the Bills doing that and making both picks receivers.
  20. I think the only thing I like about this scenario is ending up with one of Legette or McConkey. I don't like Mitchell as a prospect and losing a very good 2nd round pick just to move up in the second round seems like awful value. Just take Legette or McConkey at 28.
  21. It's not an unreasonable take. I really only frequent TBD, so I'm used to more plugged in bills fans (lol). Id like to see Shakir add a few Beasley moves to find a soft spots in zones. He has done it, and I can't wait to see more
  22. It's a good write up and I don't wanna be glib, but to an extent I think he arrived last season! To bills fans at least. He'll be known to league wide fans shortly.
  23. Due to physical traits I think Legette will go before McConkey, but I'd be happy with either.
  24. I think Burton is a WR1 ready to contribute....and I hate that I firmly believe he's going to the Chiefs.
  25. I think Legette is going in round 1 and there's the chance that someone jumps the bills to get him before 28. I think Mitchell Worthy and maybe Thomas slide, but I'm biased because they worry me (I don't want us to draft Mitchell or Worthy and im not totally sold on Thomas)
