  1. I still don't know how I would react to the Bills drafting him, but how in the world are you coming up with "surfer bum?" He's from Missouri.
  2. With the caveat that I may need to get my sarcasm meter checked out, I believe he is referring to Rocky?
  3. I've actually surprised myself this year leading up to the draft. I really was against drafting Gabbert, vocally so, but recently have come to see him in a more positive light. Much of the shift has been through watching more film on him, in addition to his work with Terry Shae. Shae was the private coach for Bradford, Stafford, and Freeman. Granted, the Gruden show doesn't tell us much about any of the QBs, and annoys us with Gruden's horrible on-air performances, so I can't really comment on Gabbert's segment on the show.
  4. This guy just moved up my draft board. Heyyooo
  5. +1 How many of us actually watched the conference? After watching it, you would come away thinking that the Bills will not draft a quarterback. Like I said earlier, we can debate over whether this is: truth, smokescreen, or the strategic truthscreen.
  6. It wasn't on the first page, but some decent discussion about the show: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/128965-grudens-qb-camp/
  7. Did anyone watch that conference yesterday? I did, and I got the distinct impression that we will not be drafting a QB with our first pick. I know there are a few soundbites about QBs, but keep in mind they were being asked questions about QBs. Truth? Smokescreen? Truthscreen? 8 more days?
  8. I can also see them trying Batten inside...though of course we don't know what we'll get from him. Moats is strictly an outside backer.
  9. I had to chuckle when I pictured that scenario taking place. I'm excited to see more playing time from Moats, Batten (for the first time), and Miller (if we draft him)
  10. Phew. I really was worried I was the only one who couldn't handle that show. P.S. I went back and watched the end of the Mallett segment (you know, the part where Mallett speaks). He really was impressive when discussing plays. Very enthusiastic and what appears to be an honest love of the game.
  11. I was down on mallett too until I saw him discuss X's and O's. I wouldn't mind if we picked him up in the 2nd. His ceiling is crazy high.
  12. I just had to reply to this, because I love the ring that "rocket surgery" has to it.
  13. I'd really love to watch the show, but I honestly can't stomach Gruden. I made it about 30 seconds into Mallet's interview before I had to close it. Gruden is just awful...ugh (oddly, i liked him as a coach). I'll have to try watching again though, because I am surprised to hear that Mallet redeemed himself when discussing x's and o's...
  14. I was thinking that we might do something new to our logo. While we know we'll still have the charging buffalo, I wonder if they made it more aggressive (a la cardinals/lions). The logo is basically the same, with a few updates. While this wouldn't inherently be a bad thing, I have my doubts as to how well the Bills would carry out such an update, and hope/expect that the logo remains unchanged. EDIT: I'm also not reading into a website modification.
  15. Just for the hell of it, I completely concur with the below statement: Gailey has endured .... I was unhappy when Gailey was announced as head coach, but he has won me over. I think he is the right coach to turn the Bills around. Call me crazy, but I think there are more than a few fans who feel the way I do. Also, last year's draft was not awful, even if Spiller didn't produce (hopefully he turns it around this year). Am I just a homer, incapable of recognizing "bad moves" by our beloved organization? No. In fact, I am often quite pessimistic about the Bills, but Chan Gailey and his tenure so far have me believing that our team could be on the right track.
  16. This made me chuckle.
  17. Not at all the case. I lived in Denver for years (up until last year), and I can tell you the views its citizens hold are not inline with your thinking. Also, Tebow is idolized in colorado, those fans ADORE him. Wow, hard to believe we watched the same games haha. Well, what are ya gonna do, to each their own, we saw very different things out on the field. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if he succeeds, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he's just mediocre for a couple years then falls into a backup role somewhere.
  18. Having watched the games, I wasn't impressed with his QB play. No, I'm not hating, but I just wasn't convinced he'll make it. It is certainly possible that he could, but the jury is still out. -With regards to Ponder, I hope he lasts into the 2nd, I think he could be a very special quarterback (I guess my hope of stealing him in the 3rd is delusional)
  19. Yeah I have to think Ponder is their guy, and I'm ok with that. I've watched him for a few years and really like his style and tenacity. I'd like to take him in the third, but doubt he falls that far, and I bet we take him with #34.
  20. I just don't get all the excitement about Kaepernick. I watched most of UNR's games this year, and I didn't see an NFL qb. I guess only time will tell.
  21. As much as i think Ponder will be better than Gabbert, I have to agree with a few posters on here that 34 is a bit high for him. I think that several qbs will fall into the third. What I'd really like to see is a defensive draft (although i'd like an OT, perhaps at 34) until the 5th when we take ricky stanzi. USA #1.
  22. If we take a quarterback this year, I want it to be ponder in the 2nd. (I'd love it to be in the third, but not sure he falls that far).
  23. Man what an odd year for QBs. I'm also not sold on the 'top' prospects (especially Gabbert...hype job). Ponder and Stanzi have just as much potential with a lower risk imo. We all have our opinions.
  24. I'm a fan of Stanzi. I wouldn't mind taking him as long as it s at a reasonable pick
