I thought Byrd was fantastic last year. Am I the only one that noticed how he turned into a hitting machine? Wilson and Byrd are an EXCELLENT safety tandem imo.
I like the "Brad Smith" of defense comment. That's essentially my feeling as well, and he does play with a nice intensity that sets the tone for the younger guys.
These effing acronyms.
Laurent Robinson, Meachem, or Garcon + Wembley, than draft an OT (perhaps Martin, the Stanford prospect )
I would be a very happy camper. Ahhh, the optimism of the offseason and the eve of free agency.
I like the optimism, but all too often we see our Bills players making opposing teams' TEs look like all-pro tackles. But yes, adding Mario to the line would dramatically alter our defense.
I'm aboard the Wimbley train right now - I think it's plausible, and it's a good match.
Too bad we can't get Peeeeeppers
I know a lot of people don't think he'll be able to play, or be the same, but I have a feeling he'll put in about 3 good years. I'm a fan, so I don't want to turn out wrong, but I just can't stomach him playing well for those effing phins.
Cognitive dissonance-damn you!
The recruiting aspect is often talked about, but it's still a huge deal. Not having a vocal salesman on the team is a huge problem. So glad we have Stevie. For that matter I'm fine with merriman on the roster for that reason alone.
Hahaha
But with regard to Wimbley, this might fit the mold of who the Bills could target, if we're considering Nix's comments about "being aggressive" in FA. Wimbley might be a bit to rich for our taste though. I do think we could sign him if we wanted to...
Rarely do I actually chuckle at posts. This one got me.
Understated. Simple. Elegant.
-My take on RuvMart: he won't make it to the 53 man roster. Chan did seem to demand he take the field with the offense more than I would like, however.
