I think what hurts so much is that we have so many of the components that take a long time to build. The lines, many of the skill positions. It's not so much that this season is likely toast, but that any sort of optimistic mentality by the team will be long gone.

I know most of the focus is on Merriman, but I'm glad we brought back Delano. I think he's a solid player with a nice future. Hopefully he gets some more playing time, but for now it looks like he is #53 on a 53-man roster.

Levitre and Byrd are both essential imo. I think both are harder to replace than a lot of people believe.

I wasn't able to watch the whole game, just the first few minutes and the (excruciating) end of the 4th plus OT. Did anyone focus on Nigel? How did he do?

I thought I saw him pretty jazzed up after the miss. I actually focused on it during the replay but couldn't see for sure.

Positives: -While I saw multiple, I'll mention what I thought was the most important: the players demeanor/body language on the field. Someone riled them up before this game, and they played hungry. That has been completely missing this whole season, imo. Negatives: -Throwing on first down, ever. -Throwing three in a row, ever. -Hell, I'd like to see them rarely throw on second down. Run the hell out of the ball. It's good for us and wears out their defense.

This is what I can't stand about Chan, week after week. It's unbearable. Why they ever throw on first down, save for once or twice a game, is beyond me. We should never throw three in a row. However, my mood is upbeat after this game, and I can't wait until next week. Another "must win," in my opinion.

Man, what is with Gailey's playcalling? That wildcat pass was shocking. Just shocking.
