  1. Week in, week out. Just run the ball on 1st and 2nd, and pass if it's 3rd and more than 3. I'm convinced this basic formula would lead to more success.
  2. While TJ Graham was open, it's not what makes your post so funny.
  3. I think what hurts so much is that we have so many of the components that take a long time to build. The lines, many of the skill positions. It's not so much that this season is likely toast, but that any sort of optimistic mentality by the team will be long gone.
  4. I just can't believe it. I know this is Buffalo football so I should expect it, but wow. They find ways to lose games they've already won.
  5. It's true, Nelson was a huge loss. I wrote "devastating" at the time, and I'm sticking by it. Regardless, how is our defense so miserable?
  6. This game doesn't feel like we're only down by 1.
  7. I have this feeling that we will all be expecting a round 1 QB, and Nix will take a WR or LB instead.
  8. Let's say Landry plays well for the entire season. Does Nix use his logic of drafting players who have played well their entire collegiate careers (thereby passing on him)?
  9. Surely you're not talking about Landry Jones? I wonder what the list looks like at the end of the year, and then after all the combine hoopla.
  10. Kids in Isla Vista... Still, doesn't excuse the violence.
  11. It's time for the BIG GAME!
  12. I sure hope we don't draft Landry. I'm game for Geno, Murray, or Wilson.
  13. I'd much rather play Locker.
  14. I know most of the focus is on Merriman, but I'm glad we brought back Delano. I think he's a solid player with a nice future. Hopefully he gets some more playing time, but for now it looks like he is #53 on a 53-man roster.
  15. I disagree. Regardless, I say we package picks for Geno. Or at least try to. This is the draft to try it.
  16. +1 I was going to post the same, but hey, you already said it.
  17. Cutler does not strike me as a guy who enjoys the herb.
  18. Wow. Didn't expect this, but I agree I think he was a good locker room presence.
  19. Levitre and Byrd are both essential imo. I think both are harder to replace than a lot of people believe.
  20. I wasn't able to watch the whole game, just the first few minutes and the (excruciating) end of the 4th plus OT. Did anyone focus on Nigel? How did he do?
  21. I thought I saw him pretty jazzed up after the miss. I actually focused on it during the replay but couldn't see for sure.
  22. Positives: -While I saw multiple, I'll mention what I thought was the most important: the players demeanor/body language on the field. Someone riled them up before this game, and they played hungry. That has been completely missing this whole season, imo. Negatives: -Throwing on first down, ever. -Throwing three in a row, ever. -Hell, I'd like to see them rarely throw on second down. Run the hell out of the ball. It's good for us and wears out their defense.
  23. This is what I can't stand about Chan, week after week. It's unbearable. Why they ever throw on first down, save for once or twice a game, is beyond me. We should never throw three in a row. However, my mood is upbeat after this game, and I can't wait until next week. Another "must win," in my opinion.
  24. Man, what is with Gailey's playcalling? That wildcat pass was shocking. Just shocking.
