I'm surprised there are so many against hiring Chip Kelly. We're all entitled to our own opinions and strong arguments have been provided on both sides, but put me in the "hire Chip" camp. I think it would bring a ton of energy to the team with a great mind at the helm. There's no way to know how any coach will turn out, but I'd be much more optimistic with Chip than with one of the many previous NFL head coaches (except for Cowher, etc). I'm sorry, but I do not think he has less than UCLA, UA, A State, or Cal. That being said, I think he's a fantastic football coach, and I would love to hire him. -a Stanford fan

I am high on Zac Dysert from Miami (OH), and he'll be available in round 2 or maybe 3. Projected mid-round pick now, but his stock will shoot up imo.

Corner is a tough position for rookies. I think he's doing pretty well for being our #1, and I expect him to get better with time.

I don't think Shaw will leave us. Stanford is one of the most respected programs in the country, is recruiting very well, and has won the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup 18 years in a row. It's also in the Bay Area. I just don't see it at this point.

It's tough. With Chan we finally have an offense capable of competing. However, you can count on him with disconcerting frequency to do the opposite of what's working in the middle of a drive. I must have said it 10 times by now: run Spiller on 1st an 2nd, only throw on 3rd (if long). We'd have a better record.

I understand that selling the team after his death may be the best financial decision for Ralph's family, but I have a hard time believing that there is no consideration for public opinion. If the team were simply auctioned off to the highest bidder (say, from out of town), Ralph would be vilified. Considering the wealth that the family has already accumulated (and are set to received regardless of even the most stringent tax), I would think that there must be some consideration of this. I know I could be mistaken, but it seems crazy to cast aside Ralph's legacy so flippantly.

Honestly guys, I think Ralph is too old to really care about the football operations. Instead of being an owner to whom the top employees are accountable, I think he pushes that role to the front office, thereby creating an atmosphere where people keep their jobs a bit too long if underperforming. The Bills pay the price, but can you really blame him? There is more to life than involving yourself in the day-to-day operations of a football team, especially when you're as old as he is. Instead of calling his performance into question, we should wonder why he is adamant about keeping the team until his death. He should have already sold it to an owner who is involved enough to foster accountability within the organization, and I think Ralph may be past that stage. Just to be clear, I could be 100% wrong about Ralph's current involvement, and my post is pure speculation. It's just the impression that I get.

I'll say it again: run on first and second down every time, pass only on 3rd downs, and we end up with a better record than we have now. Chan calling 3 straight passing plays to open up the second half was horrendous.

I don't think it's bad. In fact, I completely agree with it. You avoid the guys with red flags, pick a guy who looks like he has all the tools...and then you hope. In the end it's still a coin flip (at the top of the 1st round).

I'm also for Geno Smith or Tyler Wilson. Dysert in a later round is intriguing, but this is the year we need to move up for the top 1 or 2 prospect.
