  1. I haven't made up my mind about Nassib, but I must say I think higher of him now that I know McShay doesn't like him.
  2. From watching a ton of his snaps, I see a QB who moves well within the pocket, has a great arm, actually has a knack of knowing which receiver to hit, and when to push downfield. I don't know where this "questionable decisionmaking" stuff comes from. Probably looking at his int numbers from this year, but my goodness were his receivers awful. Take a look for yourselves if you want. He is also the best looking QB at the seniorbowl according to most sites. But then again I haven't watched it so I can't say for myself. That bleecher report link was the first "article" that was down on him. I like how every year we all get into these QB debates (I'm actually quite fond of draft debates on here), but the truth is QBs in the draft are a total crapshoot. We all know it too. Oh well. I like: Geno, Wilson, Glennon, and (I waffle on) Nassib. Finally, I think with the rookie pay scale in place, it's not absurd to cut your losses after one year. I would like to see us trot out a rookie QB until we find one with real promise - call me crazy.
  3. For what it's worth, I've seen many more articles saying that Glennon is the only QB "shining" at the senior bowl. Bleecher Report seems to be the only one saying his stock is falling. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/blog/_/name/nfl_draft/id/8869886/2013-nfl-draft-nc-state-qb-mike-glennon-stood-day-2-senior-bowl-week http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-draft/2013/1/23/3908414/2013-senior-bowl-scouting-reports http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2013/1/23/3907892/senior-bowl-2013-mike-glennon-ryan-nassib At first, I didn't want to go near Glennon, at all. Then I watched a bunch of his games. Now, I would be very excited if we took him.
  4. You know what would suck? Seeing the type of QBing that made us all excited to watch Fitz. Man I hope we land a keeper this draft. Count me in the 'take 2 qbs' camp. If they don't work in 1 year, take more qbs next year. That may seem rash, but hell, it's an expedient way to find a franchise qb.
  5. I also share this concern. Whatever happens, I hope Whix knows enough to make sure this doesn't happen.
  6. I'm glad this thread popped up. I've been talking about him for months now. Would be thrilled if we took him.
  7. I wonder if we should sticky Nassib talk? I like his arm and how he goes after the mid-range throws so important in the NFL.
  8. I hate how all of this stuff happens 9 months before we get to see them play a real game. I wonder how this departure from our usual behavior will turn out.
  9. http://www.phillyburbs.com/sports/exploring-other-opportunities-pettine-will-interview-with-bills/article_78875dad-625a-5f65-b4b3-13e724762218.html http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2013/1/8/3850876/buffalo-bills-mike-pettine-defensive-coordinator Well, we're not the only team that he's talking about, but hopefully we lock him up before the Eagles get their act together.
  10. As much as we would like to see him in that scenario, it's probably a good decision by Geno. He should light up the combine/pro day. I want to see Nassib and Dysert in the senior bowl.
  11. I'm not thrilled about moving to a 34, but who would be our down linemen? Mario, Kyle, Marcel? Anderson to an OLB role? Mario to an OLB role? Wasn't Mario a bit frustrated with the Texan's move to the 34?
  12. Interesting responses on here. I'm not claiming I know any better about how Marrone will turn out, but I am very optimistic after watching his presser.
  13. Couldn't help myself. Stanford's football team is better (I know, only recently) to boot.
  14. I am fully on board with Shafer, but I don't think he'll be the choice. More 'nationally recognized for football' might be more accurate.
  15. I like several QBs from this draft, but I was curious about two things. 1. How many people are high on Zac Dysert? I think he has the potential to rocket up draft boards. 2. Am I the only one that is thinking that we should take two QBs fairly high (anywhere in rounds 1-4, a la Griffin and Cousins)?
  16. Man did Cousins see some serious pressure.
  17. I'm a Shafer fan, but also a Stanford homer. I would be elated if we hired him.
  18. I wonder how the board will react if Lovie is not named DC.
  19. Bring on Scott Shafer please.
  20. I won't change my tune like many do when we miss out on a candidate. I would have loved to have hired Chip. That being said, I am honestly floored that he chose the Browns. I expected him to go to a more "glamorous" team. Buffalo has a better roster and is a nicer town. Have you guys been to both cities? I guess now my list goes: (a) McCoy (b) Lovie
