  1. "Marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man." - Judge Francis Young
  2. +1 In addition to how unwatchable he is, I'm not impressed with the actual analysis/reasoning. It seems like this QB camp thing gets more popular every year though (I can understand this part, especially if your team is in the hunt for a QB), so I only see his exposure increasing.
  3. I am completely ok with selecting Barkley.
  4. Watched the luncheon. My takeaway: Nix actually wants to do it - he actually wants to trade down. Also, I think Barkley is who we're targeting. I know these are fairly obvious takeaways for those who have watched it, but hey, if I can't read Bills' news I'll write my own until draft day. EDIT: Their praise of Barkley was designed to look like a smokescreen...when in fact they actually do like him. It's like a smokescreen within a smokescreen. Inception.
  5. I think he's definitely on the board. I really believe he will be a good pro, and I would love to draft him.
  6. I know this is not the intent of your post, and the point still holds, but I'm so sick of the "surfer dude" connection to any CA quarterback. My family moved from Buffalo when I was young and I grew up surfing in a central coast CA surf town, and still surf every week. Barkley doesn't know how to surf. He's not a "surfer dude". I'm well aware that this mini-rant is frivolous...I'm just trying to make it to draft day.
  7. From what the Bills have put out themselves, I'm thinking it's Manuel/Nassib/Barkley for the 2nd round pick - whoever is left. Of course, there is plenty of time for them to start hyping the player they target in the last few days before the draft. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but they always seem to give clues, inadvertently or not, right before draft day.
  8. Sounds like ESPN is embracing EJ as a high pick/one of the first QBs taken. Current front page is Geno, EJ, and Barkley with the tag line - "Geno Smith is the best QB prospect in the draft. Where does that leave EJ Manuel and Matt Barkley?"
  9. Is anyone against grabbing Lemon in a later round?
  10. I still think he'll be a solid pro.
  11. He was right about 2011 statistically (wrong about 2010, of course). Maybe I'll catch some flak, but I thought Nelson was our second most talented receiver (not exactly a ringing endorsement considering our WR corps but still). I'm surprised we didn't keep him. I hope that Doug made this call and not Buddy.
  12. This thread just won't die, eh?
  13. First round: I really wish Ogletree and Minter were better players (Jones' spine scares me or I'd be higher on him). In the first I would be happy with: Dion Jordan, Barkevious Mingo, and could get excited about EJ or Cordarrelle. I also like Keenan Allen (sacrilege, I know. I do not want Ansah or an OT. Ideally EJ would still be on the board in the second, but this year no one seems to know. I really want us to take Toilolo and Stephan Taylor in the later rounds too.
  14. At first I wasn't high on him, but admittedly I hadn't seen much, so my position wasn't really reasonable. I've watched a lot of his snaps over the past few days. Count me as convinced. I'd be very happy taking EJ.
  15. His contract is actually quite reasonable.
  16. In expressing my desire for the old format I forgot to mention that draft day is also my favorite 'sports' day of the year. The sad life of a Bills fan.
  17. Doesn't everybody like the old weekend set up better??? I pine for the old format every year.
  18. Dadgummit can we stop talking about moving Cordy inside? On a more conversational note, many people have suggested trading back into the first to take EJ. With our picks, do we really think this is plausible? Would you want to give up a 2 or 3 next year to facilitate such a trade?
  19. Corey is unsigned? Dang, I haven't been paying too much attention I guess. What gives?
  20. I'm on board with EJ as well. I think the question is - should we take him at 8?
  21. Glenn gets no where near enough praise from this board. Posts suggesting we move him to LG make no sense to me. I think Cordy will see some probowls during his career (at LT).
  22. I think the Bills believe that both Geno and Barkley will be gone before 8. I imagine they will take a LB or Warmack, and then take either Manuel, Wilson or Nassib in the 2nd (whichever one of them falls to our 2nd round pick).
