    With Dixon personally announcing the deal will be official tomorrow, I doubt we hear about Spikes until then as well (unless there is a leak...)

    This is on the mark. I'd be pleased if I could talk myself into liking the Chris Williams signing more, but hey, what can you do. The ST additions are important, and Spikes should go a long way to help our run D if signed. I hope playing behind a more penetrating style of DT won't hinder his abilities. This draft is all about offense I believe.

    Three offensive linemen taken in the first 6 rounds (at least one in round 1-3) would help ease the frustration of this signing a bit. However, like everyone else, I hope the bills outsmarted everyone, ha.

    He's a hell of a player and it's becoming clear (dependent on Spikes) that they want to bring in lots of offensive draft picks this year. 9 & 41 might do it, though I agree we can't give away next year's 1st rounder. If we took watkins and then stocked up on OLinemen starting in the 3rd round I'd be okay with that.

    We have decent coverage. We have horrible run defense. Even if he is a "one down linebacker" that does his job, he will be worth it. Currently, we do not have one of those. Stopping the run is priority 1b for the bills (1a being QB play). It is essential.

    I love all the comments like "I don't know if I want Spikes. He's excellent against the run but a liability in the passing game." Our atrocious run defense is nearly as responsible as poor QB play in terms of losing games. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

    I have to imagine our draft plan goes: 1. WR 2. best LB or RT 3. best LB or RT (obviously whichever position wasn't selected in rd 2) Maybe our most preferred is to trade down in rd1 to pick up an extra 2nd rounder, then ad TE to the mix. After round 3 I want to see us take at least 2 guards.

    I think Watkins is going to be a star, but I don't think we'll have a shot at him. My best guess is Evans or a trade down.

    I would be excited if I were a Browns fan. Sure, they had a hilarious GM/coach debacle, but they're putting together/shooting for a solid foundation.

    This is exactly the type of CB we should bring in. I, for one, will be pleased with this signing.

    Yep. This one's a bit frustrating, but I'd like to take an OG in rd1 or rd3, so I'll continue to hope for that. I DO like that they signed someone, but I don't like hoping for an elevation in performance from the get go. Here's to assumptions and polian being spot on.
