I appreciate your arguments hopeful, and I agree that a 5th round pick wouldn't cut it. However, as you know I'm a Glennon fan. I would offer a higher pick than a 5th, certainly. At a certain point, bringing in a draft pick is more important than contractual issues - especially ones at that level. Unfortunately, I agree. I've watched Glennon a ton, and I really believe he can do very well in this league. I would be thrilled if we made the trade.

We need two starting guards in free agency, and a center/guard in the draft. See if Hairston can still be swing tackle.

He even said "QB" when he mentioned the "mind-blowing" plan a few days ago. However, that was posted a day before Denver lost, so I have a hard time believing Manning was being considered at that point.

If he were to come, which he won't, it would be fantastic. He wouldn't have to throw nearly as much (although it might be hard for him to forgo that level of control/influence on a game), he can move the chains. He is still a very good QB.

I thought so as well. Resigning him would really allay some of my fears about the run D with Schwartz on the way out.

Bummed a bit at the prospect of losing Schwartz. Was nice to see us stop getting gashed for big runs (except for oakland). Good look in the future Schwartzy.

We're talking about a 2nd rounder for a QB who has big time playoff experience and a ton of raw talent. Get him in a more conservative scheme (ie don't have him throw all the time like the end of last season) and let him move around a bit, and we're a playoff team. You think we could get a more impactful player for a 2nd round pick? Bryce Petty? Would you change your position on the trade if we addressed the OLine in free agency?
