I'm optimistic but still think we needed that 3-1 start. We're going to need to win all the games we should (and I'm putting our home game against the pats* in there) and at least another we maybe shouldn't (e.g., Lions).

I can't believe some of you didn't know about how legendary Orton's partying was. I love it. Then again, I lived in Denver for years and was a fan of his while he was in Chicago. I think he's a solid quarterback. He throws a very nice ball. Our OLine is certainly not built for his strong suits, however. Only rumor I heard was that Robert Woods said he's been tearing it up in practice. As for the keeping to himself aspect, I assume that's what anyone of us would do if we joined a team where there was a 1st round pick starting at QB, marketed as the face of the franchise. But this is just wild speculation.

8-8, hoping for 9-7 but even then I think we miss the wildcard.

Count me as a Whaley fan. Related or not, I'm also excited to see Orton over the next couple weeks.

Man I wish they had an "easy" game next week. They're going to be smoldering if they lose next week.

I don't know about Kevin. He's really yet to assert himself with his arm here at Stanford. Killed us in the redzone without gaffney. We'll see what he does the rest of this year though.

Isn't that what McCown is? Orton got jobbed in Denver, and I don't think anyone thinks he'll be a world beater. Just someone who can manage a game would be nice.
