  1. I am a big fan of Whaley, I think he's done a fantastic job of talent acquisition and I am firmly in the camp that would have selected him over Marrone, if there were a forced choice. As for the oft debated EJ pick: the only real way to treat this is as Whaley's pick. I do not think EJ will pan out, so I am not holding on to some hope that we made a great pick (although it would be fantastic, wouldn't it). Anyway, my point is, missing on one quarterback pick should not derail a career. He is young and clearly set up for a long haul in Buffalo, should he want it. He has done a great job of bringing in talent on the defensive side of the ball as well as offensive playmakers (I still think the Watkins pick will pan out, he's clearly a phenomenal WR). Bringing in Orton was a great move. Kolb was a logical move. Releasing Tavaris too early was suspect. I believe trying to find a franchise QB is a total crapshoot where the odds are stacked against you. It's an educated guess for the best of them. Missing on 1 shouldn't be a firable offense, and we've moved on quickly. I am happy he is with the team and running the show. I expect him to bring in major OLine reinforcements and two quarterbacks. If he doesn't I'll start to question him. Until then...
  2. Are we getting trolled here ptr?
  3. Well if he's elfish I'm out. At least get a wizard or something.
  4. I can't stand that guy. Don't know how I would feel about him on the Bills.
  5. We're his fourth interview along with SF, ATL, and CHI My best guess is he would prefer ATL, SF, then us.
  6. Sammy is going to have a fantastic career. Unless it's for a proven quarterback, I don't want to trade him.
  7. Don't know much about Schwartz in Detroit, other than his teams were quite chippy. I'm guessing he will be our next coach, and I don't mind that at all. By all accounts, the team will be happy with that as well. However, I don't really know the details of his time in Detroit. What are your thoughts on why he didn't pan out long term? Was it unique to that team/time, or is it a systemic problem with Schwartz? Your best guess...
  8. I'd wouldn't be upset with Glennon at all. I would like a couple brought in, but I'd be happy if he was one of 'em.
  9. Are Jason Campbell and Kellen Moore the best of the (current) free agents?
  10. I envy your optimism amgio, and I'd be over the moon if you were right. I can't see it, but what the heck do I know.
  11. Every time I've watched him he has impressed me...granted my sample size is only a handful of games. But there wasn't a moment where I was happy to have EJ instead of him. In short, I'd love to get Glennon. I think he can be successful in this league. My list (in no particular order): Bradford, Foles, Glennon, Moore
  12. Too bad about the retirement. He was an asset.
  13. The part where Garrapolo getting experience is something to be feared is my favorite part.
  14. I play it fast and loose brother.
  15. This is kind of where I'm at with him. If the price is reasonable, I'd be intrigued. I just don't want to overpay. Don't know what he'll generate in free agency though...
  16. I got frustrated when I looked at the Raiders game all week long after our big win and just knew we would blow it, but somehow managed to get emotionally invested, as per usual. I trick myself into believing I'm more detached with every year, until a "big game" rolls around and I get wrapped up in it.
  17. While we chase our QBs in free agency, we also need to be taking a 2-3rd round qb and a 5-6th round qb every !@#$ing year.
  18. Seems pretty uncanny to me as well.
  19. Utterly disgusted.
  20. How many seasons of this assclown Hackett need we endure? I had the tar and feathers ready after last season.
  21. Hahaha In other news, we're never a sure thing. I want the W and our slim hopes to be alive going into the NE game!
  22. +1 He can be a decent all around receiver I think. His health is what's frustrating.
