    Be interesting to see a full game of Van Demark on the right side. He was much better on the left the preseason before last, but looked maybe to have improved on the right this past off-season.

    There are eight weeks left in the regular season (including bye), and hopefully a long run in the post season. Plenty of time for Cooper to have a major impact, despite fan impatience.

    Pretty good. Ignoring injuries, I think this fella is significantly overvaluing our defensive line. I give the chiefs the advantage for the same reason he does in his closing paragraph.

    This is exactly how I expect it to happen. Groot Benford Bernard and Shakir are all retained by Beane, staggered over two years. I think McBeane absolutely love all of these guys.

    I don't know how you reached that conclusion. That said, I haven't given up hope because he's a proven NFL player. He'll get there. Health is his biggest problem.

    Flacco doesn't throw to an open receiver if Phillips runs at him throughout the play. He gave up so early and completely that Joe got a way longer play than he should have. Regardless of situation, it was a bad look. "Blasting" him was far from the only alternative to quitting on the play.

    Bishop made me a bit uneasy when we drafted him. I was worried about his learning curve especially in coverage (I thought he was at his best coming downhill in college). The Texans game didn't help, and his inability to displace Hamlin also isn't helping. Next off-season/training camp is going to be critical for him.

    Hard to imagine McDermott will be pleased to see the replay of Phillips give up on that play so brazenly. And on 4th and 8...garbage time or not, that's a bad look
