  1. I know that we all want to talk about Tyrod and EJ (and I will too), but Cassel had a very strong outing last night. Personally I want to see Tyrod run away with this thing, but that doesn't negate the fact that Cassel looked composed and made some plays. Now, some of the things that we keep hearing is that Tyrod runs too much, doesn't go through his progressions, takes off too soon, that it's preseason and when he's game-planned against he'll be shut down by Ds. I'd just like to point out that if the scrambling lanes are there, which they were last night, I really can't fault him for moving the chains. He saw lanes, and made plays with his legs. I cannot realistically expect him to forgo obvious positive running options for the sake of doing more to showcase his passing game. Sure, it would quell some of our curiosity about what he can do with his arm, but still - 14 points. So I guess my end point is: just because he made plays with his legs doesn't mean he cant with his arm. That dropped TD pass + the Goodwin catch and run + the flush out of the pocket to Karlos looked very NFL starter to me. I'm confident that if teams stack the box he'll hurt them with his arm over the top. PS: I think we will and should keep all 3 QBs.
  2. I've got to pick up some cool whip and wonderbread to go with my vanilla.
  3. I actually don't think Tyrod is as boom or bust as some predict. He's been pretty stable in practice.
  4. I think Tyrod throws better than people give him credit for. I'd like to see him do that tonight. Regardless, if he's moving the chains one way or another, I can't complain.
  5. THIS. Thank you for typing out what I've been thinking. Roman is a great coordinator for Tyrod.
  6. I've decided to forgo tempering my expectations and will myself into drinking Tyrod koolaid. Playoffs here we come. Now I just need Rex and Roman to name him starter.
  7. Russel Wilson, if I'm picking one of those options to physically compare him to.
  8. I think Tyrod has potential in the passing game, but I'm just judging from the armchair.
  9. All aboard that Tyrod train amirite??
  10. Good lord, hasn't Manziel only played like 1.5 games?
  11. I would have voted for Tyrod, but what do I know.
  12. "Equally as inconsistent"? Hmm, from everything I've read and heard I would have guessed in terms of consistency: TT - Cassel - EJ. TT always seem to be ok with a few big plays (a relative term), sometimes EJ lights it up, sometimes he bombs, and Cassel started slow but might be picking it up. Man it's so interesting how there are so many different takes. Ah the offseason.
  13. Does anyone know if gamepass will have the preseason games recorded for watching later as well as live? I'm going to be away for a couple of them...
  14. I'd agree with this. For us poor souls who have not dedicated our posting to exclusively praising or bashing EJ, this conversation is insufferable. The EJ defenders/praisers/whathaveyou are every bit as bad as those who constantly bash him.
  15. If you listen to Rex's comments today, he was quick to lump in Tyrod as having a good practice as well immediately after a question about Cassel. He also said cassel won today, EJ yesterday, and Tyrod the two practices before that.
  16. Those were nice throws.
  17. I believe that was a joke by LeGOATski, not a real tweet.
  18. Despite the lovers and haters making the most noise, I think most of us understand that it would be great if he emerged given his physical skill set, but are concerned over his inconsistency showing no signs of abating. I don't think the media cares who looks better than who - they just want something that sounds alarming (aside from JoeB, who i think is now on a warpath against the twitter dissenters)
  19. That's what I would put my money on. Given the limited performances so far, he seems like the safe choice. I think the starters for the preseason games will be: Cassel, EJ, Taylor. My guess is Taylor eventually wins the starting role.
  20. Good lord is Hogan being considered as a high draft pick?
  21. Hope EJ can show these good days consistently. Would be nice if it turned into a two way race between EJ and Tyrod. Tyrod's been the most consistent in camp thus far if what we're hearing is accurate.
