  1. Regardless of who drafted him, the idea that missing on a QB is a fireable offense for a GM who has shown skill in recognizing talent and roster building is flawed. The success rate of QB drafting is appalling. You take your chances and thank the stars if they pan out. Tyrod was a big pickup and I'm incredibly thankful he's on this team. He can lead a team to the playoffs imo, and should allow us to be successful until (a) we draft our franchise QB or (b) he develops into one. Both are low probability, that's why there are so few franchise guys in the league. The issue with this team is coaching, or adjusting to said coaching. Injuries aren't helping either.
  2. I think it could definitely happen. I would expect Pegula will want his own guy. I just hope it doesn't.
  3. Ha! I was hoping you'd show up! It's always your posts that leave me shaking my head, and they're across so many dang threads. Waging quite the campaign. It goes without saying that I completely disagree, and I think Whaley's roster building has been one of the brighter spots in this franchise. (I don't think the cap will be an issue with restructuring and contracts that will come off the books, and I think firing a GM over EJ not panning out would be foolish.) But hey, I'm just some guy on the internet Poor coaching with some injuries. Our roster is stacked with talent.
  4. I get the impression that he will be a casualty. I think we'll be drafting at least two backers as well (one of them high - an athletic coverage LB).
  5. I worry about losing Whaley. I am blown away by fans that are trying to run him out of town.
  6. I'd rather they just wear their white pants and blue jersey. But, the snapshots at least look good (unlike dallas, tennessee and jacksonville).
  7. You go with a heady sativa tonight compadre?
  8. A good OLine would do wonders for this particular offense.
  9. I would LOVE a grass field. And yes, the red endzones as well.
  10. I lol'd. Nicely done. My colleagues think I'm nuts. They probably did already though so no harm done I suppose.
  11. That's an unbelievable stat. Good lord.
  12. I can't wait for Tyrod to return, frankly. And I was hoping for EJ to tear it up yesterday.
  13. It's almost like if you keep saying it you'll make it happen. Perhaps that's what you're going for. But I respectfully disagree with the "deservingly so" aspect. We're not going to run into a cap nightmare and he is excellent at bringing in talent. This team is screaming for good coaching. I hope for the sake of this season they rally around rex somehow. This is a playoff roster.
  14. Man wouldn't that be nice. I miss the wide 9.
  15. Well you've certainly made it clear in as many threads as possible what you think of Whaley. I don't know how someone could look at this roster and conclude he needs to lose his job as soon as possible. This team needs a coaching change more than the GM imo, but what do I know. And I don't think we're going to be in cap hell, we'll see a fair bit of restructuring, sure. McCoy is the only contract I dislike.
  16. He needs to adjust his philosophy to fit our DLine. So much so that I think it's highly improbable. God I'm disappointed in this defense. I still think we beat jags and miami though.
  17. I'd agree with that. I just don't think he's the future at QB.
  18. I'm not enthused with how the DLine is being used in this defense. Biggest issue on the team hands down.
  19. While I don't agree with that at ALL, I'm not pleased with how we're using the DLine.
  20. I feel like there is a massive, colossal amount of middle ground between what VABills was saying and the Hall of Fame.
  21. EJ played like a backup QB. I was rooting for him to light it up. Granted, the D sucked, ST sucked, etc. But that's happened before this year. Even in a losing effort I was hoping he'd play a bit stronger. We need a coverage LB, probably a safety taken high, a starting RT, a swing tackle, and a solid center prospect developing.
  22. Well I think it's fair to say he hasn't done enough to create a QB controversy. Our defense couldn't stop a nosebleed atm.
  23. Hope the signs continue to be positive. Prayers sent. Get better soon Bill!
