    I hear ya. My expectations are low, unfortunately. I usually talk myself into more optimism, but something about this roster. I expect more discipline but a distinct lack of talent/depth compared to opponents. I hope to hell I'm wrong.

    Eric Moulds was. He was phenomenal. God what he could have done with decent QBs throughout his career...

    Given the money many of these players make, they all should. I just love how over the top this particular narrative has become.

    It's just baffling to me how this theory is so widely accepted. He's been making boatloads. He has a bachelors from Harvard, but come on fellas.

    A lot of conversations flying around, but few seem to involve Shaq Lawson. We didn't see much last year in terms of what he might become, and there are an array of reasons why that might be the case. I'm curious though - what are your expectations for Lawson this season?

    I didn't want Beane as GM. However, I hope he does a superb job and makes my misgivings look foolish. Let's catch some damn lightening in a bottle already.

    I'm opposed to Beane because of his larger background in comm/marketing, single-franchise work history and potential as a lackey for McD. However, this is the first I've ever heard of a scheme being referenced in regard to a GM. Pulling for Veach, resigned to the fact that it'll be a charade and Beane is the shoe in.

    Because he's a PR/media communications guy, he's only had experience within one organization, I don't think carolina's front office is terribly impressive, and it seems like too much of a "yes man" move given the McD connection. Veach is a football guy with a good pedigree in the league.

    I'll be very upset if it's Beane. I'm not impressed by Carolina's front office, and to hire a single-franchise PR guy for our GM smacks of future disappointment to me. Seems super Billsy though. I'm pulling for Veach among the rumored names.

    I've been a believer in Glennon since I saw his early NFL performance. Vault me. Now we see how it goes. Would have loved to see him in Buffalo but did not expect that salary.

    The thought of Olson has me so darn concerned that AVP would seem like an absolute godsend. Is Russ puppeteering again?
