  1. Undoubtedly. I'm aware that we might not be able to trade up. I'm just saying it will break my heart. I am fully set up for heartbreak, in other words. Heh.
  2. Are you kidding me? I think it's pretty clear that a huge portion of us are fully committed to the trade up option. Make no mistake, staying at 12 and missing on the big 3 will break hearts left and right.
  3. I don't think we have the luxury to wait and see. I think they are really only willing to move up for Darnold and Rosen. At the end of the day it's the value of the pick, and I expect us to make a huge bid, sending the board into hand-wringing chaos.
  4. We're going to have to severely over pay, no question about it. I hope we do it prior to the draft, and I wonder what would convince Gettleman to accept. Definitely 3 firsts, but what else? Both seconds?
  5. I don't mind Murph as much as some people though. Steve, however, is killing me. I listen because I'm starved for Bills talk and I have draft fever.
  6. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=sbo Apparently McBean requires some medical assistance. (The results are nearly all about "small bowel obstructions")
  7. QB, LB, then nothing but OL. That's my vote, in order, for the entire draft. Just stock up on beef castles.
  8. I think they trade out of it. Gettleman's long tangent on depth the other day seemed like he was more than open to trading back. If I were them I'd take Rosen, assuming Darnold is gone. I'd trade back or take Chubb I guess.
  9. I think Barkley slides.
  10. What if we miss out on Darnold, Rosen and Mayfield, you ask?
  11. I mean, heck, at least contribute something in the original post.
  12. I go back and forth. Honestly can't decide. But at this point I do have them a tier above the rest of the prospects. Boy, if we come away with either I may just cry tears of joy.
  13. Oof. I've long thought it'll take three 1sts but I hadn't heard that we'd offered them.
  14. It's an interesting counterfactual. I will say that I've watched a ton of his tape over the past month and I get it - he is a hell of a prospect and has elite pocket presence. I actually think that he would be a highly regarded prospect regardless of USC. Don't forget he'd have better stats in those conferences as well. I would be over the moon if we got him.
  15. All these Allen predictions have me thoroughly shook...and unfortunately I've become more and more convinced that Darnold and Rosen really are a step above. I have no idea how the draft will shake out. I'm pessimistic, naturally. Tier 1: Darnold/Rosen Tier 2: Mayfield Tier 3: Allen/Jackson Tier 4: Everyone else
  16. You're not sure? Heck, most Bills QBs in the past 20 years have been worse. It's quite possible. FWIW, I loved the Tyrod to Browns trade and am happy we're trying to upgrade.
  17. Over/under: two preseason series before there are at least 5 threads where the OP is 'concerned'
  18. Yup. Problem is a trade partner might positively insist on next year's 1 for the same reasons.
  19. Early on in the process, I didn't know what to think about Darnold. Rosen is more polished as a passer, and so I gravitated toward him. The more you watch Darnold, though, the more you get it. He reminds me of Roethlisberger. Great pocket presence, ability to make steps here and there to avoid the rush. Definitely got moxie. I think he'll pan out. Right now I have 4 tiers: Darnold/Rosen Mayfield Allen/Jackson (way down yonder on the Chattahoochee) Everyone else
  20. If we take Allen over Rosen...oof.
  21. I'm just steamed that no one reacted to my aaron maybin/quick first step comment. I gave you gold, folks. Gold.
  22. This is what I'm thinking about as well. Those effing cell phone shots.
