God I hope we come out of the draft with Mayfield. Dude is a gamer, and accurate to boot.

It's always a gamble with QBs, honestly. The OP has the same top 3 qbs I do, and if we have the opportunity to grab one of them, I'd support a move up. I don't like giving up picks but with all that we have this is the year to do it.

A crapshoot signing. He is intriguing, but we'd still need a known entity on the roster.

Let's just make a big trade to move up and draft Mayfield. I see an accurate passer who can read a defense and has 'it', whatever it is.

The distribution of opinions here is pretty wide. I could see several teams bidding for him, so I doubt anything less than a 2nd gets it done.

This is pretty much how I feel, although it's interesting...we have a tendency to think we can get players for less than we actually can. Fans of other teams give way different answers to what Smith will trade for compared to Bills fans I've talked to.

I am generally of the opinion that bringing Alex Smith on board and drafting a QB high would be a smart move. I think Alex Smith is a good quarterback and would have us in the playoffs until a young QB is ready to go. I was talking with my buddy, and he thinks Smith will be traded for a 1st. That seems like a heck of a price to pay, but I think he might be in more demand than we think. I originally thought (probably too optimistically) that I'd give up a 3rd. I think I could talk myself into a 2nd for him if that's what it took. 1) What do you guys think he will be traded for? 2) Are you willing to make that deal?

He doesn't really pass my eye test, but honestly qb's are a crap shoot. He's one of the few QBs in this draft that I will be completely uninspired by. If we draft him I hope to hell I'm wrong.

It's the smart move, imo.

He seemingly has the right attributes, I like the apparent attention to detail. His previous stints are uninspiring but a long time ago. To me the biggest reason for hope is it really seems like we had a plan and went and got the guy we wanted.

Bills current and throwbacks are both just awesome. Packers, Steelers, Giants, the previous browns unis...simple and classic. I also like Seattle and think they've really been the only ones to look good in a non-traditional uniform. A ton of crappy ones out there. Jags, cards, bucs, falcons, and so on

Isn't it funny how we're at the point where we have to preface a disagreement or request for more info with a disclaimer that we're not trying to start something? I do the same thing. Crazy. Anyway, I see a system QB. Arm strength isn't inspiring, and I don't think he's accurate enough.

I can get on board with a lot of QBs this year. Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield...even sort of intrigued by Jackson and Allen. But right now I can't muster any enthusiasm for Mason Rudolph.

I'm convinced Alex Smith would have won that game yesterday. So many plays left on the field. I'd take him if we draft a QB high. Not sure what I would offer for him, no more than a third.

As a Bills fan this just floors me.
